That is the first thing you have to do before you can proceed any farther. Once you have found those, a guard appears on the second floor with a key. It doesn't matter if you've already been all over that floor, he wouldn't have been there at that point. This entire mission proceeds that way. Basically, you have to do certains things in one part of the mansion before you're allowed to find the key to the next part, so keep that in mind as you progress.

After very disappointing (for me) "The mystery man" and "A Smuggler's Request" I started this level.
I'm now in Act2 too and have to say that design of this mission is superior of any FM and OM I've ever seen. The manor is so gorgeous and real that I only can ask myself if something better can be made with Dark Engine. Great atmosphere too so far. It's very frightening for me to creep in that house and as I see a snow gently falling on the ground behind the windows I am feeling cold...I'm trying to progress very slowly as I'm enjoying such an atmosphere and design very much. I wonder how much time one need to make such a beauty.
Great job!
Thanks Saturnine and others.
PS: one question tho: is it possible to collect 200 of loot in Act1 (some sort of animation)???

My apologies if this was discussed in another thread, but I'm trying not to read too much about this mission as I haven't finished it yet (it's freakin' incredible, by the way!):

Taffing minds wanna know! Thanks.

Aha! Thank you. But then, why does it say you get "0 of 1" pickpockets?
Keeper of Metal and Gold on 23/11/2001 at 03:30
dunno, but I've heard of a lot of fan missions where the max possible pickpockets is one more than there are really possible

IM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE ATTIC.
I HAVE FOUND THE KEY TO THE ATTIC, BUT I HAVE FOUND NO LEVERS TO ACTIVATE THE OPENING TO THE CRYPT. IS THIS THE CORRECT ATTIC? IF NOT HOW DO I GET INTO THE ROOMS ON THE 3RD FLOOR THAT ARE LOCKED? THE ONLY GUARD LEFT STANDING IS THE ONE IN THE MUSEUM.
SPOILER!!! I'm sorry, I can't figure out how to work the blue stuff!
There are two attics--the one you had to open with the key is the sfirst. Go in there and in a dark corner at the far left end there is a tight hallway that leads to a crack in the wall from which you can overhear a conversation. Listen and then go to the third floor. The locked doors on the left side are where you will find your next clue. (Don't worry, you don't need the keys when you are doing this part).
Katie - To use the blue spoiler cover, just look down below where you write your post and you will see a section titled "Instant UBB Code". There are buttons and one of them is labelled "SPOILER". Just click on it and a small box will appear that you can type your spoiler in. Click OK when you are done and it will appear in your reply and after your post shows up here it will be covered with the blue field.
martin shubitowski - Welcome to the forum! It's nice to see so many new members lately. Typing in capitals is the equivalent of yelling on the boards, which seems to annoy some people. I just thought I'd let you know for future reference.
7TH Crystal -
Spoiler:
Have you been into the first attic and listened to a conversation? If so, then you need to go find Bradey who was speaking. He has keys that you need. Go back up to the 3rd floor and they should be there, unconcious on the floor.

If that's not where you're stuck, just post more details.
