being kicked makes me cry, especially when the place I am being kicked is south of the equator (but not too low although my shins can be a sensitive area as well I've found)
sorry I guess this isn't what the thread is about, being honest here

A lot of things here and there. One that comes to mind is this Townes Van Zandt video, watching Uncle Seymour take in the song... One of those authentic moments you can't script. I couldn't find it on YouTube anymore so I uploaded it again for you guys.

Scumble, music has a big effect on me, too. A friend of mine sings in (
http://www.soinninkajo.org/index_en.htm) Soinninkajo Ensemble and has often invited me to see them live, but I can't go - I would probably bawl so loud I would end up kicked out :p
Also, when I was watching (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkeSSdwbnPg) this clip of Lil Drac the fruit bat baby, I blinked and gulped like crazy, but managed to keep tears away - until I turned on the sound. The baby bat & music =

The baby bat & music
That music was shamelessly sentimental... I think similarly to BA's sad example above, it's usually dark or agitated music that gets to me. This might be Meshuggah or Shostakovich - anything with emotional intensity.

Either a touching coincidence or our FB profiles are conducive to targeted sadness strikes now...

Yep :cheeky: For me, it just somehow intensifies the cuteness of the baby bat x 1000
I like dark music, but not in a weepy way.

Yes! :D That scene was the best part of the Heartworn Highways documentary. Also it reminds me of (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiZ68ifob0g) the last scene of the White Stripes doc.

There was this tech demo lately which showed a gynoid being put together but exhibiting unexpected behaviour and the instructor who is never seen orders her to be deconstructed. That had me pretty close to tears. Seems quite laughable now when I think about it, but I'm sure if I watch it again the same thing will happen.
Ah here it is: (
