Is
that how other people did it? I hit the statue with my blackjack. It tilted over a bit, and the medallion fell down to me. Definitely not the optimal solution, but I didn't think of an arrow.
...
Is THAT how you guys did that!?!?!?! ( )
Every single time, I shot a moss arrow at the base of the statue when the patrol gave enough space to not get alerted by the noise, snuck onto the wall and clamb ABOVE the statue. Then, I dropped at the spot, grabbed the amulet mid-air, and landed onto the moss unhurt just as the patrol was again the furthest, jumped out from the small display-rail-thing and snuck back into the shadows without getting noticed...
I feel so lame... SHOOT A BLOODY ARROW NEXT TIME!!! GAH! :wot:
Well, anyways, the same mission, the same room; when you climb the opposite wall onto the balcony, and try to hide in the small shadow on the wall at the same time as you hit jump to fall down (works in this particular spot well), Garrett remains in falling posture and can 'glide' through the floor soundlessly.
I have a few nice screenshots of that :D ... but don't know how to post it... :erm: Any help from you guys?

I never tried to run into the statue cos common sense said 1 man could not knock over a 2 tonne statue. Common sense is useles.

Interestingly, after I shot the medallion off the huge statue, I accidentally bumped into a smaller but still big statue and was surprised (and annoyed because it blocked a doorway) that it moved pretty far.

Actually, your solution is a pretty neat trick as well . . . :thumb:
Anyway, with a couple of locked chests, when I tried to pick them, my right-click instead gave me the loot inside the chest. :erg: I think that if the angle is right, the game engine is allowing you to "frob" the loot from outside the chest. I had something similar happen once in Thief2.

Inefficient, but you get bonus points for style! :thumb:

Has anyone ever seen Garrett get stuck in climbing mode? Happened to me in the Museum once. Very odd, it's like he is skating across the floor. Despite lots of jumps I couldn't get him to snap out of it.
But see for yourself:

Guess the question should be: Who hasn't encoutered that bug?
I usually solve it be taking up my bow and shortly draw an arrow, not firing it.

Hey! That's excactly what I tried to post, but didn't know how!
I have a few screenshots too of this 'Matrix slowmotion' -trick.
So, did you do it with the Insert Image command (which I think atleast you're using)? Does it have to be an url, or can I take something from my own computer and it gets saved to the forum database or something... And if I need an url, can someone help posting them?

try hitting the print screen button, then pasting it in MS Paint (or something better, like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro), then saving it as a .jpg or .gif file. (
