Just saw Iron Man 3. Loved it! But what's up with the ending? Is that all there is?
Looking forward to ST:Into Darkness. Much as I got tired of JJ's drumming his fingers on the cameras in the last one, this one still looks like it's gonna rock.
Man of Steel looks like it's going to be interesting, imo. Liked the take on the 'S'. (Am I the only one who's never heard that before or did they just make it up for this movie?)
And I can never get enough of Fast & Furious.
:p

The S shield's meaning has gone through some changes. Originally it just stood for Superman (i.e. it had no real meaning beyond being Clark's logo.) The Superman movie from the 1970s introduced the idea of the symbol having a Kryptonian meaning or connection (in the film it was the coat of arms for the House of El.) In 2004 the Superman: Birthright story said that it was the Kryptonian symbol for hope. While Birthright was rather quickly wiped from canon (the main thrust of the story was that Lex Luthor was Clark's age and also came from Smallville, which completely contradicted almost 20 years of established continuity stating Lex was a much older man who grew up with Perry White in Metropolis) the "hope" meaning was combined with the coat-of-arms interpretation by Geoff Johns. So the "hope" meaning isn't new, but it's comparatively recent in the history of the character.

Saw Iron Man 3 on Friday, thought it was pretty damn good. Good deke there on Ben Kingsley's character.
It doesn't seem likely, but I hope World War Z turns out to at least be decent. Also have high hopes for Elysium.

(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zA92Rw6kNWw) Pacific Rim Motherfuckers! (possibly questionable conjunction of terminology there)
(Supes does look surprisingly good despite being both Superman, who is lame beyond compare,
and Zack Snyder's involvement. I'm also strangely optimistic for Fast and Furious 6 or whatever the fuck they're up to now. It really seems to have hit the silly "summer" action sweet spot where something like True Lies would have gone before Michael Bay got in and fucked it all up. Perhaps unlikely, but we'll see)

I refuse to watch movies, let alone lower myself to watch them in the theatre. If I wanted to hang out with a bunch of illiterate proles devoid of talent, taste, I'd visit my local library to talk about the latest chapter of 50 Shades of Grey (or hang out with my grandma). My, what depths these banal idiots will sink to in an attempt to fill the empty void that is their lives. They make me sick.
Real art these days is found in the last place you'd expect it: the internet. Once a bastion of lonely porn trolls living in their parent's basement subsisting on cheetos and other sugary snacks I wouldn't dare put within 10 feet of my mouth, it has recently become a true beacon of the artiste. The thinkers. The individuals. The outcasts. The mavericks who dare think outside the box. People like me.
I typed this on my iPad. It's an Apple product. You might've heard of it, but probably couldn't afford it.
Soon, we shall see the fruits of their labors. In less than a month, in fact. On May 26th, we shall witness a true display of Art. Yes. Art. With a capital A. For on that day...
Operation Hot Mother begins again. On Netflix. Woo.
...and I'm pretty damn sure it's gonna be a helluva lot more rad and bad than any movie that's gonna play this summer.
Now, recommence your inane babbling! Fill your souls with drivel! I won't be here, for I have better things to occupy my time with.
Like motherfuckin' origami, yo.

Iron Man 3 seems to be dividing the vote. I enjoyed it and found it far better than part 2.
But it's nowhere near as good as Iron Man 1 and seeing as I'm the harshest marker I know, apart from you Scots, I'm a little baffled by your take.
FF6 looks to be suitably bonkers. I'll watch everything anyway.

Renz, you hipst...
...
Fuck. Actually? I would look forward to that more than most summer blockhead fests. Bring it, Mr. F.

Ye-ouch, Pacific Rim looks awful. That trailer reminds me of Independence Day, which is, by the way, not a good thing. Complete with lamo motivation speech and...a monster using a oil tanker as a weapon (which looks like a toy because of the terrible SPFX). Yeah, that's an easy pass, just like Battleship was. Blech.
