You almost died, she almost died, you've just saved the world, no emotion happens at all. I thought he was an alien, not a robot?

ITT SE admits to holocaust turn on
And yes! Great article, Faf. Reminded me of the laughter at my showing when Fishburne said "he saved us all" at the end. Yeah, like anybody is going to want Superman around after the first people who showed up looking for him destroyed half a city.
Also, can I just say - can be punched through literally dozens of skyscrapers and survive, but snap his neck and he's dead? Wat.

If you live your life where all emotions = turn on it must be complicated for you.
Not getting the punch through building vs neck snap physics is simply comprehension fail.

Planning on The Worlds End in a couple of days. The Internship was cancelled at my local Cineworld because of some problem with the reel or something. They offered us free entry to Pacific Rim IMax (Cineworld card holders have to pay an upgrade for 3D and IMax for the first year) and boy was it tempting.

Speaking of World's End type movies, I watched "This Is The End" a few days ago. On the overall whole it's ok. Not a movie I'd ever watch again but it was ok. The first half of the movie is quite funny and has heaps of good bits, but then as soon as it crossed over to the terrible 2nd half it all goes downhill.
The one and only good bit in the 2nd half was when The Backstreet Boys show up and sing "backstreet's back", that bit was awesome. The rest was just awful and really boring.
It's better than Pineapple Express but that's not saying much as I hated that movie with a PASSION from 10 minutes in and ended up with a headache from midway through. Grrrrr.
Though if your the more drug inclined (which I'm not) then if you were to watch that (This is the end) stoned you'd probably love it, due to the complete randomness of the entire movie.

It's not random. I quite enjoyed it. But then I like most of the guys who are in it. It's mental, I'll give it that, but to dismiss it as a need-to-be-stoned movie is to really be having a wedge up your ass.

So Pacific Rim. I quite liked it. Awesome spectacle, a world brimming with interesting background details, and characters and story that are work well enough that all that visual splendor has something to hang off of.
I'd still give the nod to Iron Man 3 as the best summer movie so far, but it's up there. It certainly slaps pap like Man of Steel and Star Trek silly with a tanker.

I'm waiting for Elysium. Next week! I think

I'm with you, I hated that movie and other "stoner" movies/shows (like Chich and Chong or Harold and Kumar, but at least that one got some chuckles out of me).
Maybe it's cause I don't like smoking myself and thus am not into the "culture" but most of it is just flat out... stupid. I do like random comedy, but it's not even the funny kind :/
