Consider against the undead. Sure, the sword makes you more visible or slower, but it always made me feel more comfortable in undead-heavy missions to know I had
something I could use to get out of a tight spot.
That's why I think the best way would be to make you able to choose your weapon (sword/dagger) after knowning where you're going to this time. There is not anyone to put away in a silent way around the Haunted Cathedral, so I guess a sword might be quite useful there (unless you are a master thief, what you ought to be). There should also be a possibility to lay the sword down to get to some tricky location, but well...don't know what the DarkMod guys are planning, it's just my suggestion what would be practical in reality. :erm:

way i see it, since the haunts are by far too dangerous to go toe to toe with (though, i've been able to take them on with no damage from time to time), and since garrett IS a master thief, and since i feel much better with the haunts destroyed, and since you can't kill that which is already dead (though you can blow him to little chunks), i tend to just play assassin, sneaking out of the shadows to backstab the ugly SOBs. i do this with apparitions too, since they take so long to destroy otherwise.
it's not like it's murder, anyway :thumb:

Well, why don't throw thy mighty hammer at them? One blow can take care of the Haunts.

Maybe it's just me but I don't imagine Garret as a run through and kill every living thing kinda guy. I think if forced to kill a dagger draws less attention but I get what your saying self defence wise.
