Ever did something crazy and awesome and never had anyone to share it with? This is the thread where anyone can post their accomplishments in any of the Thief games, fan missions included. Whether short-term or long-term, in combat, or not, even clever Thief maneuvers and tricks, like the famous mine trick in The Haunted Cathedral where one guy lured five zombies to the rope he was on, then blasting all of them to pieces with a single mine (nice going whoever did that ).
Feel free to post your stories and triumphs here and get feedback from other taffers. Feedback is encouraged because obviously, no feedback would defeat the purpose of this thread. :)
Let me start with something I managed to pull off just now in a Thief Gold mission called Events In Highrock:
The first thing you'll notice is that a haunt is trying to bash into your room, and you have to grab what you can and bash the window on the table before he gets in. I only had time to grab my blackjack in my case. The streets outside were nice and dark, so I had little trouble avoiding the haunt. Now here's what I did:
There was a Ramirez guard standing next to a control box, further down the street. There was a metal gate between the guard and the haunt. After a while, I managed to attract the two enemies to each other and as a result, the haunt began to attack the guard. While the two were fighting, I quickly ran inside and grabbed the rest of my stuff. When the guard was killed, the haunt looked around for bit then stood opposite the gate.
Next to where the guard was, I saw a small Hammerite church with about 4 inside, 3 Hammer guards and a priest. After a bit of patience, I lured the haunt to the Hammerites. Given how slow and clumsy the guards are, the haunt had little trouble killing one or two, but I had to reload a few times to help the haunt get lucky and kill the three guards. While the guards and the haunt were fighting, the priest was shooting at the haunt, but hitting his allies instead, also helping the haunt. The haunt died when it was hit with a flying hammer, but I clubbed the priest with my blackjack. On expert, you're not allowed to kill anyone. Even though I was on normal, I found out while playing Cragscleft that when the zombie killed the two Hammerites at the stairs, they didn't count against my no-killing objective, so in essence, luring enemies to each other is a clever way of cheating the no-kill objective. :ebil:
In case you don't like spoilers, here's what I achieved today:
1: Lured a zombie to two hammerites in Cragscleft, both of which died.
2: Used a water arrow to "detonate" the bug cloud surrounding the zombie near the two Hammers.
3: Cheated the no-kill objective on Expert. :3
4: Released all the prisoners in Cragscleft, one of which caused a Hammer priest to hit a hammer guard by accident.
5: On Events in Highrock, used a haunt to kill four enemies, three hammer guards and one Ramirez guard, while at the same time, sandwiching the hammer guards between the haunt and the priest who was hitting them by accident.

In TDP Life of the party, KO'd both thieves at the apartment with a single Gas Arrow.
Another time lured them into the apartment and attracted the guard and watched the melee. But that's an easy one. This one I've done a few times, the guard wins about 50 percent of the time.

In Ink and Dust, in the Dark Zone, there's this indestructible zombie patrolling the area near the cells. I discovered an sure fire way to get rid of him is to have him chase me onto the narrow bridge - he always falls into the abyss.. First time I did it it was accidental (I was just trying to escape as best I could), and it blew my mind

Once I climbed onto a balcony using a wooden crate and a rope arrow :P
Also did some wond'rous rope-arrowing in LotP to find some really cool areas :)

Had fun during testing, jumping the platforms in the dark zone. There is a
ghost the only way to keep going, before he fixed the bug, was to do a 180 jump onto the platform, to avoid looking at him, or you'd die if you did. Talk about achievement.

You've been doing this for a while now haven't you? X3 It's always nice to see otherwise fearsome enemies fail themselves in front of your eyes.
Here's something I "achieve" way too often >_>:
Sometimes when I blow up zombies, the head or torso kills me in one hit :eww:
A good friend of mine did a "challenge" level where the designer turned the crap factor up to max when it comes to flying zombie parts.

Really? My 15 year old nephew did that long before you even knew what Thief was. In fact, I am fairly certain that many many other Taffers have as well myself included, so yeah. On the other hand, you might be "joking" in which case, yeah. Nevertheless, a lukewarm effort to say the least. :)

In 'Casing the Joint', I coaxed the ghost in the library around the manor with noisemaker arrows :D
