I finally remembered my password, yay!
I got my fiancee to play the Thief games at long last after I promised to play DDR with her and go shopping at her really weird wiccan stores. She's been playing on expert and I am quite surprised at how good she is. I had to teach her a lot of stuff as she progressed (climbing ropes, fighting undead, using the sword, etc), but she learns very quickly. It surprises me because she is mostly good at RPGs like Diablo II and not first person games other than Oblivion.
Anyway, I haven't played Gold in a while and she is on the Thieves Guild mission. She found Lord Randall's vase, but she can't find the Bracelet and I totally forgot where it was as well, so, if you know the answer, help my female thief out, heh heh.
Oh crap, and I just realized I posted in the wrong forum subject. Sorry :X

Hey, thanks a lot. I'll be sure to tell April when she's done with her class today.

Lucky bastard -- I can't get my wife to play Thief, period. Funny thing is, she started playing it before I did -- she actually introduced me to the game -- but only got as far as Cragscleft. The zombies and Hammers freaked her out too much (still do -- she hates being in the room when I'm playing an undead level).

She kills all the undead in those levels because it scares the crap out of her too. I even got her scared one night by sneaking up on her, then whispering "join us nowwwwww!" and she flipped out, ha ha ha.

I tried to get my wife to play thief. Her first mission was the opening of thief 2 and I had to teach her alot. She actually finished the level with my guidance. I then instructed her to take on shipping and receiving.
Not so good...She'll still occasionally open it up and play when I'm not around so I don't laugh at her.
(If she gets caught by the guards she scoots away from the keyboard and says "Oh No!" While the guard thwacks her angrily...:joke: )

Yeah, trying to convince my wife to play Thief feels sorta like trying to convince her to have a menage a trois: "C'mon, baby.. we'll get to know *each other* better...it will *strengthen* our relationship... Just give it a try... Live a little!"
Feel sort of icky afterwards.

Where can I find one of these "WIVES"

Don't. Once your wife get hooked on games, all household maintenance and babysitting is up to you.
CountMRVHS on 7/7/2006 at 17:22
Right -- except it's too late for that in my case. She's hooked on all kinds of games -- Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights, etc -- just not Thief. I figure if I can "convert" her, she will start to play and then respect me for my incredible thieving skills as I help play her through the tough parts. But, yes, between her gaming and my gaming, it's a wonder the dishes get done as frequently as they do.
