The time when Garrett was the most scared... - by all

Not to say how hard it was to figure out what it was saying to a non-native English speaker.

I never thought of that Jusal. So scary and confusing. Thats a fun combination.

I agree that Garrett probably would have been most scared when going through his ordeal with Viktoria & the Trickster. (I remember thinking when she ripped Garrett's eye out, 'Well! There goes that relationship!')
As for zombies, etc., I think that Garrett always seemed somewhat cynical rather than scared. When it turned out that there were such things as the undead in his world, I'll agree with Vogelfrei that Garrett seemed to become rather used to them and never really considered them all that threatening.

After I read the note in Seminary about the water that can disable robots, and the order to make something water-resistant, I was nearly expecting something like this. So it was just "Oh, here it is! Let's test it."

I have to agree with just about everyone here in saying that whilst I don't think Garrett is scared of most things, e.g. zombies, burricks, etc, I can imagine the
eye-ripping
scene frightening him. I also think that the Cradle would have probably made him at least edgy. I imagine him as being someone who likes to be prepared for a job, in control, able to call the shots and choose when he makes his way out, so being
trapped in there after it remembers him
would probably give him the chills as well as a distinct feeling of helplessness. Well, the thought scares me, but then, most things in Thief scare me ;)

I don't really agree. I'll bet he is terrified by the undead. Especially Haunts. Garrett is a brave man, but courage isn't to fear nothing, courage is control of fear. A life as a criminal mixed with a life spent hiding in shadows would teach one to deal with fear in a very calm and relaxed manner. It surely comes off as nonchalant, but to deny that the fear is there is foolish. I think it's just Garrett's way of dealing with anxiety. He likes to be as prepared as possible, that helps him stay calm. He also seems to like to make jokes about the possible dangers he'll face. He uses sarcastic humor to calm himself a lot.
I do agree though, that I think lack of freedom and control causes him to fret, and I agree that he was most afraid in the face of Constantine and Viktoria.

If I was Garrett and saw the Mechanist Cherub... woah boy...
Suffice to say, the fence would get a whole lotta gold and gems to move, if you catch my drift.
