Thief 2 had a few zombies too.
1 - Toss a scout orb over the wall near the police station in Framed
2 - Check the crypts in Tracing the Courier
3 - Poke around the Necromancy Tower in Life of the Party
not to mention the lady zombie in "Blackmail" in the "Do Not Press This Button" basement :ebil:

Yes, I remember the female zombie, although unfortunately there wasn't a real zombie mission. But- let's talk about the real, rotten and decayed walking corpses! Is this
Lord Bafford :)?

Actually, it's an idea that's been hinted at before. I believe in A Brawl In The Tombs there was a mechanist who was experimenting on zombies, trying to combine masked servants and the undead. There would be some reason to do so, assuming you could actually control them with the Servant masks. Imagine infantry that can "survive" almost anything. They would be protected from light, holy water, and fire. They could soak up arrows and melee damage like sponges. The terror they would inspire would win most battles before they even started. An army like that would be almost unstoppable in the Thief universe.
I've basically been implying and leading up to that in the RPG thread I've been participating in. Course the Skollus Stone don't NEED no Servant masks. :ebil:
Not to mention they'd be amazingly stupid, even by Burrick standards.
Can anyone tell me more about the female zombie in Blackmail? I've been down that room many times, but all I found was a rotting female corpse I could carry around (not that I'd want to) and the button. Besides the obvious use of the button, does it wake up the zombie or something?

I can tell you about that female zombie, because that was the first zombie I met in the Thief series. Still, when I recall this memory, I shiver.
I played unpatched T2 at that time, and I somehow opened a secret switch in a fireplace and dropped into that torture chamber. I heard a female voice, moaning, and a "woman" in dirty purple dancing near the torture table. I thought that was a bit strange and I went nearer to investigate. When suddenly that "woman" threw a rotten hand towards Garrett, I was shocked.

Maybe she didn't bother me because I was playing the patched version of Thief 2. My first zombie experience was in Life of the Party. I made the mistake of reading the evil scroll in the Necromancy tower... I screamed, jumped out the window and got smashed up on the sidewalk down below.

Hey! Was that first zombie robot guy wearing a watch!? Now there's something a thief could lift!

My first zombie was as great as it was horrible.....it was in the haunted mines under cragscleft....I was a newbie and played mad-klepto style, running like hell and trying not to die, as well as pick up anything shiny. It had worked in Baffords, it also was kinda relieving of that errie, tense ambience you find in the quiet sections of that place.
Of course, it didnt work as well in the mines.....after trying to slowly walk by the first corpse in the mines, i was repeadeatly stung by the insects and decided to run, and just as I was starting to I heard a gutteral moan and could have sworn i saw the body move.....
I ran like hell into the mine without paying any attension at all to where I was going, and as I was running I heard a horrible hissing, and stopped moving just in time to see a horribly dark pit, like a mouth, yawning out in front of me, with movement of what looked like a gigantic spider, i ran back into the mine, totally oblivious to everything until I hit a dead end, what looked like an old Hammerite chapel, with a bit of loot about.
Seeing the loot let me cool down and take stock, all the moreso by finding a holy water fountain. I heard that same horrible moaning coming from the doorway, clearly un-dead monstewrs in pursuit. putting two and two together when i realized I had "holy water" arrows, and these were undead monsters, i got a good loo at it as it came in. I put a shot or two in it so's it went down, got a closer look at it. lil bastard was nasty, missing a jaw, and made of rotted flesh, but I figured I'd see more things like this, so I tried out my sword and blackjack and broadheads on him, reassuring me of the zombie's imperviousness to conventional weapons. After a bit of consideration, I realized that they were slow moving, could not climb, and could be at least momentarily disabled by sword blows. As such, i took my time, and went back and forth from the fountain to the mine, and I killed or disabled every creature under Cragscleft.
Picked up nearly every piece of loot down there, too.
