We can't just name it 'Unforeseen Consequences', since it belongs to the old UC project. New iteration, new name.
However, Kingers is now
nuts because we want to finish 'his' abandoned project. :ebil:
Well he abandoned it & told nobody about it which was selfish. This also won't look good on his resume:
TDS ShadowLoader: abandoned
Unforseen Consequences: abandoned
. . . and probably more
I'll reserve my opinion on this iteration of the project until something comes out of it.

It's not a new name though. It's the old name with some extra rubbish tacked on to it. You may as well call the project...
Unforeseen Consequences: Unforeseen Consequences
The Campaign Formerly Known As Unforeseen Consequences
Not Unforeseen Consequences
Unforeseen: Consequences
Consequences Unforeseen
Unanticipated Repercussions
Whoops I Didn't Mean To Do That

Yes, it is not entirely new, ...I suggested naming it 'Silo D', or 'Surface Tension', depending on the mood of the lead, who was not satisfied with my suggestions. ;)

You know what? That's you that you've just described. Why do you thing think Starrfall was posting numbers after all you posts the other day? She was counting your lamo posts that really do fit into the description you just gave. StD's iit, however, does not.
Wrong. When I post, I rarely type more than a few lines, and when I do it is about Thief: The Dark Project. I never use links, again, unless it leads to something utterly ridiculous or funny. I have no intention of "fitting in" with the crowd, or appearing like I can argue "with the best of 'em". I'm not saying that a lot of people here have no life outside of message boards, just that *I* do. So when I'm here, I do an enormous amount of reading, and a little bit of posting. I'm sorry that your beloved "StD" decided to say something to me that was uncalled for. I'm working on letting it go. What does a person gain from trying to digitally pick someone else apart? To prove a point? Go back through all my posts (spare me) and you will see little if any serious content. I'm sorry, but this is a Message Board. An extension of a video game. To some people this is understandably a lifestyle. The one time I fight back, I get roasted?
Cool!
I've slain thousands of Dragons tougher than you.
:ebil:
Oh yeah! Back to Unforeseen Consequences!

Seriously, if you don't stop chasing Strontium Dog around like a yappy little git, I'm going to ban one of you. And it probably isn't going to be him. Because why would I do that when it's you who's being the jackass?

OK, fine already!
But I am *very* angry.

Wow! This all comes as a shock! ...No, not really.
I found it very strange that when Kingers had no time to work on the project he did not step down from project lead. Instead he appoints Ominous Cowl to be an "Assistant Lead". Why not just step down? And when he finally realized that he just didn't have any time at all, rather than, once again, stepping down he closes the project.
So what gives? Why did UC fall? Well...

Then release info as you have content to show. If you hound boards with every little pointless update you'll turn them off real quick.
This was the first kick to the face this project took. By releasing four different threads with constant bumps filled with nothing that should ever be released publically, contrary to what Kingers might think, this will not get people to like the campaign. There was a small team. So what? Continue working with that team and perhaps in the future when you have proven that you are going to get something accomplished then maybe others will join, maybe not.
Next up, it is always a good idea to have a good relationship with the team that is creating the mod itself. From the start it was pretty clear that the Dark Mod team wasn't very enthusiastic about the project. Kingers seemed to have some problems with them in the past (Something about "sneaking" into dev forums and downloading the mod without permission, although I really don't know enough about this) and I think they could see that the project was going nowhere.
3) Work with the team. Be equal with the team. Don't censor the forums by personally editing others' posts. Don't make decisions when nothing has been discussed with the actual team (the storyline, shortening the project, closing the project, etc).

Everyone, and especially all former team members are heartly welcome to rejoin us!
No thanks. When I actually got to read the story and the content of UC, I lost most interest. And seeing how UC was handeled, if I were you guys I would separate yourselves as far from that project as possible. Start a new project (but dear god not another thread). Take into account what everyone here has been saying. Make a good relationship with the Dark Mod team. Don't make any public announcements without consenting with the team. In fact, don't make any public announcements until you have something good to show. Once you have the team I would lay low, work on the project and let all TTLG forget about it, then come back with news once you are actually a decent way into the thing. And please, please have a different storyline. Something other than a Thief TDP clone.
Good luck! Just think about what everyone here has said...
