HEY! I've still got a lot of the work I did for that. :laff:

Well, if you don't have time to finish it, the Hammerite Imperium delights in recycling abandoned material for the Builder's use. :cheeky:

Why the f*** did you start another thread?
That language is totally un-necessary and we started another thread because the old one went completely off topic.

So, shouldn't this thread be retitled "Seeking Artists" then?
I have changed the main post's content but cannot alter the title.

I'm rather interested, but, unsure as to whether I could be much use to the team. Artist wise. I've only ever done concept work for characters (build, tattoo work, costumes, etc). I'm assuming this post would be for more technical creations... and the technical side is my weak point. Though it does depend on what exactly.
And well, I'm hardly in the 'great' category :p.
I'm not sure enough to register and supply my name just yet...

Filling teh fora up with Dark Mod self publicity just resulted in a fairly broad section of the thief fandom adopting a fuck off dark mod posture - which is silly, because Dark Mod is pretty cool when you think about it.
I have noticed that SOME have adopted such an attitude, for whats its worth, but claiming 'a fairly broad section' is a bit preposterous. :)
Anyway. Personally I don't do this to entertain the TTLG crowd, because if that were my motivation I would have dropped the project at least a year ago. Of course it's fine when you read the positive comments and see how poeple like it, but even if this were not the case, I would continue, because in the end it doesn't matter. I do this for my own selfish reason. And anybody with a straigth mind, should realize that this is the ONLY reason how you can carry on such projects. The others are the ones which fail.

Sorry Kingers, Kick in the teeth not intended. Genuinely wishing the project well, and looking forward to hearing plenty more about it. Trust me though; many threads != happy thief fans. But you probably know that by now.
Right. This was a bit unfortunate. I can see that kingers is quite enthusiastic about his project, and as such it is understandibly, but opening so many threads to what looks like simply pimping my project is usually not well received in most forums. Anyway, nobody starts as the perfect project lead right from the first time, especially when he has no experience with software development and project managament in general. So I guess he will learn it as he goes along, and with his next proejct (assuming this one will be finished), he will know already a great deal more, and will do it better (PR wise).

On a slightly off topic question / poll. How many would prefer to see this project developed for TDS rather than TDM.
As an unbiased reader of TTLG to either one engines, I must say that TDM is the better choice. :ebil:

Also which do you think it would be easier to recruit mappers for?
None of them HL2 is the thing to go if you are looking for easily recruitable mappers. The Thief crowd is not THAT big, and most mappers are already working on something of their own. Unless you happen to find a mapper who had similar things in mind.
Now how naive was THAT??? :) LOL
New Horizon saying he can't help us, and now look at him. :)
Renz saying we should give the lightgem a try because it would be easy. HAHA!
And the best quote of all: It would need just a little programming and a lot of mapping. HAHA!
Hillarious. You know? Posts like this were exactly the reason why I waited so long to join, because I wouldn't want to commit time to a mod that is bound to go down within a few weeks.

What can I say? TDM inspired me enough to drop my own project. :)

Fingernail: Hey, guys, wanna make a Doom 3 Thief mod?
All: Nah, not really.
*All join team*
It's obvious that Fingernail has at his disposal some form of mind control...

Drawing concept art is fine.
