Had to start one, as I just booked my first real vacation in over 3 years - heading "out west" to do some skiing (and possibly snowboarding) at Big Sky resort in Montana. Supposed to be very beautiful country out there, not to mention with some amazing skiing, just as good as any in Colorado with a tenth of the lift lines. Really looking forward to this, going with a group of 10-15 people, so it will be more of a party or good time atmosphere than some lame couples outing. Now I just have to get my ass in a little better shape over the next 3 months. Not crazy about the cost, but sometimes you just gotta do it and worry about the details later.
So, where are you going in 2013?
(p.s. - It doesn't have to be anything fancy).

Seeing as I'm already working in Thailand, it's very easy to hop over to Bangkok or Sukhothai or Chaing Mai for a weekend. I'm sort of spoiled by it. My big "trip" will actually be going home in March.

Tenerife in a couple of weeks to see Cirque de Soleil. I'm going to San Sebastian in June/July to pop in on a friend who is renting a large apartment for a month. We're planning on a trip to Paris, probably for a weekend around easter.
I'd like to do back to Thailand this year, and also back to Malawi but no concrete plans yet and we're likely to only make one. A New York weekend +/- a few days in Philly or Chicago (depending on the group plan as this would be a group trip to visit old friends) might happen too.
And another trip to Spain is likely because I like it. Barcelona or Madrid, no decisions yet.

No holidays until I finish my thesis (hopefully around November), so I've got no way to plan. My fianceé lives in Nîmes, France though and her brothers live in Carcassonne and Paris respectively, so I'll likely be in some of those places throughout the year, plus we're visiting Marseilles at the end of this month.
On a related note, if any of you ever find yourself within driving distance of Carcassonne, you owe it to yourself to visit a restaurant called La Grande Bouffe which serves the best steak (and indeed anything) I have ever eaten EVER. The chef cuts a 450g (that's roughly 1 lb for our antiquated US friends) rib-eye from a beef rib directly prior to cooking on a cast iron grill heated by an adjacent wood-fire. Cooked to perfection however you like it and then served with a jacket potato cooked in foil in the embers.
Even Christine, who weighs about 50 kg demolishes it in short order.

Not to mention it's also a great tile game.

That too. I have it on my phone :)

I went to Hawaii last year, Maui specifically, and loved it. This year I've got the Whitsunday islands (barrier reef) on the cards in March when my parents visit. Alaska is looking very likely in June and then in Christmas '13 / New Year '14 we'll do a 2-centre of back in Scotland and Mt Blanc.
Shit, SE, you travel a lot.

I grew up in Africa and I live in goddamn Birmingham (one of the ugliest places on earth with the worst food) and not lovely warm Australia. :( I've got to get out as much as I can or I go mad. I only went to Italy, Spain and The Canary Islands last year and I nearly flipped my lid! If it weren't for being told early that I was getting a Tenerife trip in Jan as an Xmas present I would have.

I don't really have clear vacation times, I write all year round. But as always, I'm planning to spend the summer by myself at the summerplace observing bugs, birds, rodents and other small creatures! :D

Booking a trip to Baltimore for the Ravens/Steelers game. Bodymore is a goddamn killing zone, but I love it out there. Plus it is a quick shot to D.C. for shenanigans. Any recommendations on accommodations?
