Okay, so someone said they want to catch up on what we have been up to. Here are my vacation pics (a small fraction) from November. This first is the bar Rick had the badass gunslinger scene at. In reality it is an antique auction house and inside resembles the bar but little since the production crew removed the bar and acoutrements. It is in Sharpsburg, Georgia, a small town about 15 miles from the main shooting location of Senoia-

I have some of the back alley where Glen went puss but if you have seen one alley you have seen them all and I have. Here is one of the side of it where you can see Glen and Maggies makeout drug store on the left (Steve's for the episode) where they did the dirty dance-

Here is a side entrance to Alexandria where my GPS took me after typing in Senoia (which is pronounced sen-noy BTW). They are serious about the sign. Security is prodigious and jumpy. The second pic is of me looking at one approaching.

Here is the actual name of the subdivision and prices start around 750 K which is a half a mil more than they did before Walking Dead decided to film here-

Folks I got hundreds of what I think are seriously cool pics and I can take you around to locations you may never get to go or which these pics may inspire you to go but it's late so I will post this and if there is any interest I'll post more. I hope so because it is a bitch to resize and Photobucket then copy and paste just to fall into empty space and empty stares. Fictional Woodbury (though the real one not used for filming is south about 80 miles) is the actual main street of Senoia and a stones throw from the wall of Alexandria. The shop owners are gracious and answer questions they must have heard thousands of times. You will receive the locations and the knowledge I was able to gather about them and I'll post them for old times sake but only if some of you give a damn and let me know. That sounds harsh but I don't mean for it to. It's just a natural fact.

Here is Senoia where the tire barricade was constructed for filming every morning and taken down every night and a specific crew had the task of spreading apocalyptic strewn trash and cleaning it up every evening. The water tower was going to be demolished until Greg Nicatero purchased it BTW. Last pic tonight-

If you want to see it dema I'll post them for that reason alone. Do you see those iron giraffes in front of the antique store on the right? They were supposed to be taken down every morning before shooting. Who thinks fanciful iron work should be in a zombie apocalypse right? Well they were left in by accident for one scene with the governor. The price is now well over what you would pay for such ordinarily. Funny how that works. Funny how it makes me want to buy them though.

From where I'm sitting above I can see Alexandria and here is a pic below of that very sight. I bought a T shirt which says I walked all the way from Woodbury to Alexandria which is a joke because of the near spitting distance. My wife is goofing because of how tight we found security (see the guy in the day-glow green vest?). You will hear me mention that often in explanation of certain shots.

Oh man you missed Carol saves everybody yet again. Some things happen over and over but I'll never tire of her kicking butt. Anyway, if I were to get up from the bench and walk to my left past the post office there is where the stars have trailers to do blow and have monkey sex between scenes they have to be in. The first few years there wasn't even a fence and folks could just wander over and lick the windows.

Kidding of course. That was a tour guide. You can do a walking tour with him for a very reasonable amount and he is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I recommend it. There will be picks of the tour later. Meanwhile if you go back to the post office and lean through the Arbor Vitus shrubs you can get a pic of the truck the senator hid in while you are being yelled at by security.

This is also the spot where there should have been the sniper tower just beyond. It wasn't. I asked where it was of a local. "Oh that came down last year". What? Damn. Why did they take it down? I wanted a pic. After this mid-seasons finale I understand. Anyway, security couldn't do anything because I was on government property.

Everything there is real and was in the show or involved in the comic and I didn't show everything but I have bored myself and no telling what I've done to you. Upstairs you can get a plastic Earl hand blade or a turtle head poking out T shirt or Carols cookies or action figures or zombie masks or whatever and once upon a time the stars would stop by but no more. People have gotten too freaky lately and they can't risk being bitten. Seriously. Some groupie bit Norman Reedus who is by all accounts the most accessible and all around greatest guy of the show.
