Then some guy posted his attempts to get the game refunded because it was too buggy to work for him and was quoted sections of the EULA that...overwrite all consumer protection laws apparently and say they get to keep the money no matter what (hilariously signing off with "Sorry for the inconvenience").
Seen that EULA part and ... why is it even there ? :/ Don't know the laws in relevant country, but i am pretty sure it is the same in this regard as in everywhere else - PARTS of agreements that contradict with what is established in law are null and void.

You can't buy it on Steam at least (while the game is in their list, it does not have a buy button), been unable to for quite a while now.

I was looking through and saw this:
Like the stupid people here but are.
They are manipulated.
Its absolutly normal that you become a stupid answer if you use a not existing email account!
This is not a proof thats the team works unclean!!!
Beautiful.

I really hope that came out of a demented English-challenged mind and not just a translate.google glitch. A combination of both is also acceptable, if the guy read over it at the end and thought, yeah, this is exactly what I want to say, and then hit post.

Dunno what you guys are on about. That's always how I talk in real life. People don't care, they even pat me on the head sometimes.

A pretty scathing review of The War Z on Gamespot, giving it only 2/10:

Not that this game hasn't already taken a beating, but one thing that really opened my eyes was that the game has stores where you can buy guns and other gear using real world money - only to lose it
permanently when you get PKed (potentially) the second you enter the game. I don't know what's worse, the a-holes who designed that setup, or the morons who actually shell out money to participate in it. Crazy.

IIRC, one can not buy guns for real world money - only with in-game (looted) money, which is fine.
Giving it even 2 points is a bit excessive tho - can not justify giving it more than whatever is the lowest possible score (1 for GS?). Because it is a scam.

As far as items bought with real world money, guns weren't specifically mentioned, but the word "weapons" was used. As an aside, it's funny how the monetary scale is so out of whack with reality, i.e. a knife costing $6500. :laff:
I think the winner in this whole thing is the guy who made Day Z, he's probably sitting back laughing, taking notes, fine tuning the standalone, and when it's finally released, The War Z will be crushed like a bug. At this point, the War Z crew is probably just hanging on for dear life, trying to squeeze every last penny out of the thing until it dies a horrible death.
