Start buying bottled water, I agree with mothra. The painted sex cards with painted tits always bothered me.
Mature and adult are two different things, something Jashin never figured out.

It is strange to hear that Geralt will be able to fight using a hammer, an axe etc.
lol'd
Guess they're going the Fallout on this one? Name for the sales, the rest... whatever the fuck they want.

well, cdpr can't let go of the sexcards, Triss is not only being featured in the polish playboy (as a digital playmate), the russian distributor 1C softclub is also doing a photoshoot with an armored geralt and a fully naked triss-lookalike.
whoa whoa whoa where can I get these?

I'm still surprised that I didn't mind the sex cards at all. Usually I am hypersensitive to sexism and/or "hurr durr boobs!" in games, but after hearing so much about them I thought the cards were okay, a bit like fantasy versions of vintage pin up pics. Nothing essential, but also nothing particularly offensive. If anything, I minded Geralt's gotta-lay-em-all personality, because I thought it wasn't particularly well or credibly presented, but the cards themselves didn't bother me.

About the novelty weapons, they're just that, novelty. You could use maces axes etc. int he first game too, remember? Except no one used them seriously because just like most swords you got from enemies etc, they were less effective than even your starting equipment.
By the way, the game went gold yesterday.

I thought the cards perfectly conveyed the impression that collecting women was objectising them. Having light-hearted fun like you would have with a game of cards. As such, I found it enhanced the feeling of role playing Geralt, striking a balance between the inner qualms at vapidly engaging in something that is nothing more than a game and the pleasure to collect and treasure pretty pretty things. And guess what? Life may be like that.
I'm actually sad to see the cards go, I found them pretty and absolutely fitting with the character. They were rather well drawn and much less crass and cringe-inducing than semi-censored sex cutscenes. Which we are getting (

You have to admit, the self-shadowing on those nipples is probably the best yet in a game.
... What?

It's nice to see a man who appreciates true artistry

Finally a proper use of bumpmapping

Wait, I'll make a joke about tassellation next. Does Witcher 2 support DX11?
