The atmosphere really is great. Music fits prettily, too. I will definitely play it in Polish with subtitles, since I don't know the language at least I'll be able to pretend the voices are good.
Man, I won't be able to play it until June :/

The art is impeccable, but then I already knew that. It's the gameplay I'm worried about. Oh well, worst case I'll get a nice fantasy theme park ;)

I wouldering if this time npcs will or would react to things taken if you thieve from them during the day or at night in there house at all :sly:
However watching that vid the guards patrolling around will react if you start to threaten them or the npcs in any case.

well, toxicity is out. which means you cannot exceed your toxicity level at any time, so the tox bar has no real purpose atm. Tomas Gop said they had to cut it, it did not make the release date. Would be cool if they could reincorporate cut features due to timeconstraints later ala the enhanced edition.

Actually, I don't mind the changes to the alchemy system all that much, the new elixir drawbacks are a good replacement for the toxicity bar.
There are lots of more importaant issues for me: the giant bosses, the QTEs, the combat, the Mass Effect style inventory, the equally Mass Effect dialogue system...

I can see that for the dialogue (which has been dismissed by a reviewer, much more elaborate answers possible) but not for the inventory. I do not like that its screen-sized, covering everything. the old menue showed Geralt as well but the whole model, not some background pic. But that's about it in ME similarities afaik.

For some reason I just "ehed" at the newest elder scrolls, but these videos are giving me a massive graphics boner!
Something I noticed: they seem to do sun-shadows in the open, but insides tend to lack shadows. Or am I looking wrong?

No, you're right. It was probably a necessary tradeoff - remember, there are no loading screens now when you enter a building, shadows from all the light sources would likely kill the engine.

Oh didnt know about the "no loadzones." That's cool!
Still, if you have support for dynamic shadows outside (which they may actually not - it could be just the sun), then it wouldnt be too hard to simply render only the shadows for lights in your current building. Wouldnt be that hard to implement. Which leads me to a belief that there's other reasons behind their choice (too many dynamic lights inside a single room? already too fancy lighting shaders to support dynamic shadows etc. etc. )?
