aaaaand, looks like I'd better not look at this thread again until I've bought and completed Witcher 2... Still need to finish Witcher 1 first, and really don't have time for gaming atm. Hope you guys all enjoy it though.

My system is quite old (8800GT) and yet the game runs fine and looks wonderful.
That's good to hear. What resolution are you running the game at and what's your average framerate? Also what's your machine's full specifications (inc. OS)?
Cheers.

1280x768 (as I said, my 4:3 iiyama is quite old).
System: XP, Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66 GHz, 8800GT 512 MB, 2 GB RAM.
I haven't checked framerate, but so far I also haven't noticed any significant frame drops (even in large areas with lots of AIs). Everything runs quite smooth on, let's say, medium settings. There's only one thing that annoys me (and it's my system's fault): I have to wait 5-6 seconds to see the main menu (which is nicely animated) after pressing ESC.
Few more things:
I have to say that cutscenes in TW2 are incredible. :) No wonder all those trailers were so impressive.
I am also very impressed with the way (
playable flashbacks) CDPR prepared story background and introduced dramatis personae in the prologue. Hats off! Of course, there's one downside of this: assault on La Valette's castle is very linear.
Polish dialogues are witty, interesting and really vulgar. ;) I could listen to Ionwerth, Roche and Triss for ages.
And do not let your kids play this game... Rape, tortures, scared and crying children, brutality, strong language, blood on the screen, complete nudity -- you can find it all in the prologue alone. :ebil:

1280x768 is not 4:3

That shit is coming like in two hours and I won't be able to play it in three weeks :(
BTW besides the letterboxing, why have you decided that you won't be playing The Witcher games Koki? RPG-wise, this is probably the best we're gonna get from a large-ish company since the days of the infinity engine. I mean the competition is either Dragon Age, Fable, Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls...
