That's good to hear. What resolution are you running the game at and what's your average framerate? Also what's your machine's full specifications (inc. OS)?
Cheers.

e6400 @ 2.66 -> 25-70fps. 30fps pretty steady in gameplay. I've never seen such an increase for a modest overclock. Please, feel free to post that on GPF too.
Good lord above it's beautiful even on medium settings.

Unlocked on GOG.
I've heard there are real performance problems on some nVidia cards.

BTW besides the letterboxing, why have you decided that you won't be playing The Witcher games Koki?
Bwahahaha it's a PC exclusive that's ANAMORPHIC? You gotta be shitting me, that's almost too stupid to be true.

action RPG-wise, this is probably the best we're gonna get from a large-ish company since the days of the infinity engine. I mean the competition is either Dragon Age, Fable, Mass Effect or Elder Scrolls...
Fixed that for you. As for why not? I read the books. They were pretty good and the ending was pretty final. I fail to see how the games can be anything but a botched fanfic. Can't say I'm a huge fan of Geralt's sexcapades, either.

Agreed for the action part, still the game itself handles pretty nicely. There are some interesting mechanics in there, really pretty environments and a way of building quests somewhat reminiscent of old cRPGs. I'd tout the writing but since you have read the novels, a large part of the game interest is probably lost. What I meant is that if you're going to play anything, this should be the least terrible game of the bunch. Sometimes it's just nice to enjoy a game that doesn't do many things new but is still fun enough.
You like MW and played Portal 2 >:|
EDIT: So apparently the Polish voiceovers available at launch aren't available at launch. Will teach me for being impatient.

My logitech g35 seems to be incompatible :( I get no sound at all when the game starts up. I hear that crysis 2 had a similar problem, anyone know how long that took to get fixed?

I was lucky enough to find myself in a RPS thread at the right time today, and snagged myself a gog.com giftcode one generous soul posted.
It's now installed and registered, although the first impression's not what I'd call favourable. I'm one of those dinosaurs who just can't let go of their good old 17'' CRT monitors, and I've never had any real problems because of that. I usually play games on 1024x768 or 1280x960 if I'm feeling fancy. I tried them both, and the hud elements are positively tiny. I literally have to squint to make anything out of the tutorial windows and the inventory. I'd go so far as to consider this unplayable at the moment.
The performance is not so hot either, even on low settings. There was talk of some beta drivers or whatnot, so I might have to fiddle with that a bit first. My specs: Core2Duo E6750, 8800 GTS, and 3 gigs of RAM. Served me just fine with pretty much every new game until now.
Oh, and you can't download the Polish voice and subtitles in the gog version yet, but it's supposed to be put up for grabs soon. I'll just wait until then, and maybe a patch or two.

1280x768 is not 4:3
No shit, Sherlock...
You should read previous posts in this thread more carefully.

The post I am referring to is right behind the corner, dude... :p
It's a pity there's no support for 4:3 monitors right out of the box, though.
