Well, tried playing it a bit more, but the lack of 4:3 support makes it extremely annoying to read on my teeny tiny screen. Also, goddamn, the inventory is a mess. When I mouse-over an item I want to know immediately what it does, not wait 6 seconds for the little description box to sloowly scroll down and show me the details. Especially since there's enough room to make it all visible. And the map is horrible and useless and, again, too small for the amount of room left on the screen.
Silly, silly design choices.

just to chime in: I played practically nonstop since the release (prologue 4 times, chapter 1 two times, now in chapter 2) and apart from the combat being easy and somehow making leveling unnecessary (you can kill everything from the getgo) I am all over this game. It's like I go to sleep and wake up in heaven. In a silver swordy backstabby pirouettey poison heaven populated by rapists, schemers, religious zealots and topmodel sorceresses. It must be heaven. I did not read any posts in fear of spoilers but my interim opinion of this game is: HOLY FUCKING SHIT. GOTD

D = decade.
I started on insane and hard and I practically replayed the first fights about 10 times until I learned the different sword attack tiers and which attack is in which combo. and I got 3 savegames from TW1. And the prologue is easier to breeze through than Ch1 to see all permutations of dialogue and locations depending on your choices AND savegames. And there are a ton already in the prologue.
They made this game so good !!!! and the cutscenes .... so awesome. I had so many different emotions going through me during ch1 and the cliffhanger to ch2 left me breathless. There are so many things they made exceptionally right with their presentation and cutscenes, how they introduce chars, what they say (not necessarily HOW...) that I am totally blind to some annoyances and quirks in their interface, inputlag during fights, bad doors and half-finished inventory. The start of Ch2 is like the best thing ever and I can't wait for ch3. In the meantime I am slowly progressing on my insane run - gotta be careful :)

there is more room on the top :)
Now if STALKER2 will be such a big step forward as TW2 is.......anyways, even if ch2 + ch3 suck, the first 20hours of TW2 alone are worth the admission.
