I's all about the gog, ladies.
Also, Renz, get your arse over to Steam when you stop rubbing yourself whilst playing Witcher 2.
:D

As long as I can rub myself there, too.
Plus I haven't even started playing the game yet. I can only download at 1.6 meg a second...cuz I'm poor. Which means I have to wait, like all poor people.

i don't think i want pix this time
you mean this game could loose its quality in the image when being set to square format? at the moment i don´t like much the current format, i´m not fan of black bars, besides, it hurts a bit the sight to read the tips that sometimes appears in the game interface.

Don't do it, people. Duck is trying to trick you.
So Witcher 2. My impressions so far have been more than favorable. First off, the performance. More than amazing. I was expecting Witcher 1 performance here, only extrapolated to the nth degree because of the new shader effects and higher polycount. The autodetect best system settings set everything on my machine to low/off only served to reinforce my initial expectations.
Turns out I can play the game perfectly smoothly with most everything set medium/high (besides ubersampling and ingame DOF) at 1280x720, and still maintain a 30-50 FPS average. I haven't even seen it begin to chug about. Considering my computer is old as ancient, only barely outpacing the minimum system requirements, this is an impressive feat when you take into account all the neat things the game throws about with wild abandon.
And the game itself? Very action packed, very well put together, very interesting, very fun, very plays better with a gamepad. I know the gameplay is very PC-centric, but it's obvious CDProjekt plans on releasing Witcher 2 for the consoles with only minor tweaks, because the menu and interface is very one size fits all for both platforms. And the fighting? It's so much more natural with a gamepad. I'm thinking one of the reasons why I didn't have as much trouble with the intro is because I choose to play it with that instead of the usual kb/m setup.
But anyway, I'm tired of talking about it. I wanna play it some more. Catch you all later. :D

Renz, whats your specs? I am avoiding purchasing the game exactly because my laptop is some 5 years old and was already coughing heavily running Witcher 1.
