atari for noth america
1c for russia/ukraina
cdpr for eastern europe
no word on western europe yet and above info is from the forum (although a cdpr representative) and will be confirmed intime.
April 7th is where TheWitcher2 will show new content. mostly the screenshots from gamespot and the announcement, maybe already with all confirmed publishers. Ah, and PC is only platform sofar.
preprod pictures on gamespot are awesome. love this one, I call it:
Outdragonaging (

after seeing those scetches I recommend ritual suicides out of shame from the DragonAge designers at Bioware :)
eurogamer somehow confirms it:

Not a fan of the new face, or the new voice.
What's wrong with the old face? Man it's Max Payne all over again, I hate it when they deface characters.

again: I quoted the lead designer in my post, the
face is not final, the
hair is not final, shaders are not finished, there are no physics on hair and character.
voice is not final. in the discussion came out that the majority of the witcher fans thought Geralts harsh and unproportionate mimics were the intentional try of the designers to give him wolfish features while the lead designer said they were just having troubles to create a proper animated face in aurora. The new one is much nearer to their original vision but they say they hear the fans and while the whole "geralt is ugly in a cool way" is an "misunderstanding" by the fans they will try to adress it.
they are going for the look in the gametrailers banner which is at least better than the one in the trailer. And voiceover, well, I always played the game with subs so I wouldn't know.
gameplay: it's awesome

I'm just going by what you posted.

However, structure of his face won't change - we won't come back to old innatural proportions because of technical (mimics!) matters. We are happy with his new face - the one which is visible on GameTrailers' banner.
Again, what's wrong with the old face? I thought it was a good face, fit the voice, fit the character, not too mean not too sappy.
To me Sam Lake will always be Max Payne, the other guy's just some false impostor. I'll need to see the new face once they finish it but I'm pretty sure it'll be the same deal.

Short summary of the interview with The Witcher 2 developers you can watch (along with sweet gameplay videos from press conference) on the page mantioned by mothra:
Witcher 2:
- much better graphics (custom, built from scratch engine) --- I've read that CDP Red is so proud of this engine that they are planning to licence it to other developers
- much better story ("larger scale of events") and larger area to explore (Geralt will travel a lot; he will visit areas and places that are far, far away from each other; and these places will be very different which means more terrain variety etc.)
- transitions between places in large areas of the map will be seamless (no loading this time) -- It seems that the whole map (world) will be divided into, say, 5 huge areas, and these areas will be divided into smaller ones. Each large area is one act of the story. There will be loading screens only between acts. Imagine the whole Vizima and its outskirts within loading zones!
- more exploration ("The Witcher 1 was 2D, The Witcher 2 will be 3D")
- no horse riding
- the game will not be easier or "consolized" ("we have everything that was in The Witcher, but it's more complex, more hardcore RPG-ish; the hero developement is better")
QUESTION: What is your favourite element of The Witcher 2?
BOTH ANSWERS: The story.
Sorry for my bad English. I have no time to check my spelling, grammar or syntax right now. :erg:

I wasn't too happy with tanned Geralt so I made this :p.
Inline Image:
http://i42.tinypic.com/m82rnr.jpgStill needs a few more scars and deeper wrinkles between eyebrows like in W1 concept images.
