I wont be discussing 2013, but whenever you post your eurovision threads I am always reminded of this piece of undiluted awesomeness, probly the finest eurovision moment of ALL TIME. ALL TIME.

Haha yeah, actually the song of the Gay Wizard from Romania grows on me every time I see/hear it.

The Norwegian song was the only one that I genuinely liked, I wish it had won instead of the Danish one that I found okay but a bit boring.

A simple but a very catchy song, with no stupid background dancers or other silly over-the-top choreography. The prettiest lady in this year's contest too.
I was a bit gutted to see Finland near the bottom, I thought we had quite a decent and catchy tune for once. But perhaps I'm a little biased because I once hugged Krista (the singer). :p
People always say how the Eurovision countries only vote for their neighbours, but that never seems to work for us - this year we got 0 points from all our neighbours!
Romania provided me with the only big WTF moment this year... but I thought it was pretty awesome too, in a way. I mean, Dubstep Pop-Opera, sung by a vampire - what could go wrong?! :D

He reminds me of young Saruman.

Anyone else brutally worried about what future historians are going to make of our era if Eurovision somehow makes it to the top of the archaeological pile?

I don't know if it was like that in other countries, but in Germany they said before the show started that Denmark's entry was the big favorite this year. Combine that with the fact that it IS a decent enough song and it's obvious thousands of people were going to vote for them because "I can't decide between these 5 songs I like most so I'm gonna vote for Denmark because the TV said they are the favorite so then I can say I voted for the winner, ha-ha!". Or something like that.
Sure, it's a nice song but of the top 5 entries Azerbaijan's had a way better presentation and the song itself was also good. Russia's song was simply a bit better in my opinion. Me, I was quite partial to (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EiuqczFZhQ) Malta's entry - so cheerful, both the song and Gianluca himself. And he's a pediatrician to boot - that's one doctor who won't scare the kids to death before having even started examining them. :D
Other than that, I feel that (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmmMU34ha5I) Germany's entry deserved better than 21st place. They probably shouldn't have won but the top 10 would have been deserved. Same for (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2afgTGmEMb8) Ireland - last place? Really? There were probably 5-10 entries worse than them... :tsktsk:
And yeah, (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgHWFiavqjA) Romania's entry (this is the full song) was great :D. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cezar_Florin_Ouatu) Cezar's an opera singer too, which I assumed even before reading his wiki entry just after hearing his song for the first time yesterday.
[EDIT]Vasquez got ninja'd. HA! ha

Edit. :P

This is a big European thing, right?
...so why is everyone singing in English?
