Yes, Brethren is very kindly hosting a lot of Dromed stuff but IIRC, there were a few documents that were only available at the Builder's Academy and weren't hosted by anyone else. We'll have to put some time aside to have a look through. It wasn't that long ago that the Tutorials were completely updated - darnit! :)
Edit. It's just been pointed out to me (nicely) that the link 'Thief' - between TTLG and Bioshock - at the very top of the forum, goes straight to the Circle.

Sorry, I think I missed something. Is the issue with The Circle related to the inability to access information, or that the host is no longer hosting? I would be happy to cover some costs if that brings it back. That's a piece of history I would rather not see disappear.

As far as I'm aware, it's something to do with the DNS settings being incorrect. I have no idea what that means but contacting the relevant person is proving difficult.
As stated elsewhere, it can be accessed via 'Thief' at the top of the forum page.

DNS stands for 'Domain Name Sytem'. And you are right. That's where the issue is.
The server hosting 'www.thief-thecircle.com' simply doesn't properly register it's name & IP address to the internet service providers
(or the internet service providers can't solve an issue on their side. Whatever...)
Anyway, as a result, the services living on the net can't tell your PC which server (IP address) that domain name represents.
Therefor any attempt to contact that site via its name fails, although the server is up and running.
That's roughly it.
As a workaround you can register the IP adress of the server and bind it to that domain name on your system.

While you are right that some portion of TheCircle can be accessed following the 'Thief' link at the top of the forum, you will run into several links (like 'Download Darkloader' or all the mission downloads) which again use the domain name thief-thecircle.com and you are busted again.
(Unless you modify the hosts file on your system yourself as described in the link above)

Thank you for that detailed explanation - all is now clear! It's a long time since missions were uploaded there but they can be found elsewhere, as can DarkLoader. Brethren is now hosting a lot of the Dromed stuff on his site but there are one or two Dromed related links that are important to get back so we hope this will be resolved again in the not too distant future.
