The events of the story take place during Thief II – the Metal Age. Truart has been elected as the City's new Sherriff. Karres is the High priest of the Mechanist Order. But while the Mechanists and the Sherriff are involved in their sinister plots, the Keepers are occupied with a new threat, a threat with roots in an ancient evil, hundreds of years old…theImmortalThief presents:Bane I – Keep of Deceit
Part 1 of the Elemental Banes seriesQuote:
Two nights ago, I received a letter from Keeper Troy, a friend of mine from my training days as a Keeper acolyte. He had written of some alarming incidents in Daleville's Keeper Compound where he serves. He sounded almost desperate. As much as I hate to get involved in the matters of the Keepers, I decided to look into it for the sake of an old favor I owe him.
He set a meeting place at the Daleville docks but once I got there, I found that the City Watch had gotten there first. I fear the worst for Troy. Tonight I must find out what happened to him. If there is to be any hope of me finding out what's going on, I must find him. I somehow feel like this is about to become a lot more complicated. I smell trouble. A lot of it.The mission can be downloaded from these links: (10.7 MB)

Part 1 is a heavily modified version of my previous mission, A Keeper's Betrayal. Those of you have played "A Keeper's Betrayal", will find many changes in this mission, some being quite major, with many new areas, new secrets, modified story and ending, new objectives.
Bane II – Cult of the Damned is in beta right now and will hopefully be released pretty soon.
Very special thanks to: (in no special order)

For patiently testing this mission and who without their help this mission would contain many bugs and problems.
Also special thanks goes to Dafydd for his efforts and ideas for making this mission ghostable and much better in the process.
I also thank everybody at the TTLG Editor's guild that helped me by answering my questions.
And also I need to thank Sliptip, for allowing me to use some of his beautiful textures.
I hope you all enjoy playing this mission as much as I enjoyed making it.

Very good work! I liked it from the beginning to the end. You placed the hints very good, you always know where to search next. :thumb:

Thanks for the mission! :D I like this mission, (I think you've done a great job on it), but unfortunately, it's not without it's bugs! :(
Still, they haven't spoiled my fun with this. :thumb:

Thanks Elusive One, I added the link to the first post. I've contacted Komag and BR. Hopefully I'll have a couple of new links up too. :thumb:
Sluggs: Sigh... As much as one tests a mission, there always seems to be one last bug the escapes notice. ;) Could you please PM me the bugs you found.
