actually not as such...just get it when the time comes and situation will progress to it's final conclusion. :)
Just be sure to get shadowed as soon as retrieved...allowing for at least one beast alive that is.
:D Good Luck!
Actually that doesn´t work: I always have to take the Sea Bane and then the goal is always the same. How can the goal be achieved that no man will ever be able to lay hands on the sea bane again (not only Master Keeper Buran)?

Yes it does work...
Basically, when you get to where you take the Bane, do not put out torches...there is a place near the area you come up in, which is dark. Grab Bane quickly get into that shadowed area and wait. This is of course you left one or both creatures alive. When bad guy gets killed..turn around corner and go to portal. That object gets satisfied...no one else gets it's magic, etc.
Pretty much like that...you have the Bane...no bad Mage left, cause he's the only one that had all the pieces. ;)

theImmortalThief,
Thanx for this very enjoyable mission. :thumb:

The objective in "Keep of Deceit" is only making sure that evil, twisted Bouran doesn't get his hands on the Sea Bane again. Events will lead to achieving that after getting the Sea Bane.
As for actually destroying the Bane... Well, that might be one of the reasons why there will be a second and third part to the mission! ;)
Thanks Gloria and karstenpontoppi! :thumb:
Immortal :)
P.S. Bane II is almost ready for final beta, if I can just stop myself from fussing over tiny details! ;)

OK Thanks. Then probably the goal I mean that is in the goals list is not active. Here you have two goals that are just different in the wording regarding Keeper Bouran and "no one".
Well thank you anyway, shouldn´t insist further here I think ;)
theImmortalThief on 9/9/2007 at 12:31
This is the text to that objective:
Hunger for power has twisted Keeper Bouran's mind. He won't rest until he has made the Power of the Sea Bane his own. Make sure this never happens.
Although it can be interpreted as to meaning "Destroy the Bane" which would be one way of satisfying this request (which can not be done in this mission), it could also mean "eliminate Bouran", which is what needs to be done to complete this objective and make sure he never gains the power of the Sea Bane.
I hope this cleared things up a bit. :)

Ok Immortal, then you mean another goal, that I didn´t discuss. The goal I mean is one in your goals list which says:
"fiction_10:"The Sea Bane is too dangerous to be in man's possession. Make sure no man ever lays hands on it again."
The other one which is actually always in my game is:
fiction_6: "The power of the Sea Bane is too great to be in the hands of First Keeper Bouran. Steal the Sea Bane."
Know what I mean? Well probably it´s just in the list and not active or worth discussing ;)
theImmortalThief on 10/9/2007 at 05:05
Ah, yes I do know what you mean now. That text belongs to an objective originally supposed to have been in A Keeper's Betrayal. I deactivated it before releasing the mission for technical/storyline reasons. I never completely deleted it because... well, just because. ;)
Didn't think anyone would look through the files. Sorry for the confusion it caused. That objective did actually require the Bane to be destroyed.
I was just wondering, was it clear what exactly happened at the end of the mission, between Bouran, the Sentinels and the Sea Bane?

Sure, I think so :) Don´t bother, it´s a great mission and I am looking forward to play the next parts. Have you got any timelines already?
