I, for one, will not be indecent naked in any of your virtual presences.
Alright, guess I'll get on those challenges in preparation for racing you guys.

Christ, you weren't kidding henke!
That really IS a workout.
As predicted, I had to lose the trousers half-way through :E

Haha, I usually play it first thing in the morning, which means I already am in underwear, and then take a shower afterwards.

I also fired up Sairento for the first time last night, and that's great fun. Takes a while to get used to the movement, but leaping about chopping stuff up is great. And it's amazing how well the locomotion systems work, with no queasiness whatsoever. There was an initial sense of vertigo in the training section when falling, but that quickly disappeared once I started the game proper.
Mind you, even with a decent sized play space, I found myself up against the boundaries a lot, and it's prime tanglefoot stuff.

Ooooo, Battlezone's got a free weekend!
Gonna have to give that a go. I've been eyeing it for a while.

After Raw Data and Sprint Vector, Survios might've become my favourite VR developer. Up next they're making (
https://www.roadtovr.com/survioss-next-vr-title-is-creed-rise-to-glory-a-boxing-game-with-ambitious-mechanics/) Creed: Rise To Glory. It'll probably be great, but you know which movie-license I'd love to see them tackle even more? An Incredible Hulk game, with Sprint Vector-style locomotion! It's great for running and leaping and smashing into the ground, and of course grabbing and throwing and smacking things around works great in VR too. Man, it would be awesome.

Just tried the Battlezone free weekend, and it's really good! Tanky first person fun with a Risk / FTL style strategy map front end, always pushing you forward to the next encounter. Hard, but not unfair.
Ended up buying it, as it's on sale for £14.99 during the free weekend.

I bought it in a Steam sale some weeks back, but ended up refunding it. It just didn't do much for me.

Shame you didn't like it henke. I'm really digging it!
It's nice to have a proper sit-down VR game for once, and one that feels substantial. It's also nice to play something in VR with a gamepad instead of the Touch controllers. Apparently the co-op's quite good too.
For some gameplay details, the rounds are action-filled encounters from a small pool of variety that don't outstay their welcome. A round rarely lasts more than 10-15 minutes.
So far I've only played with the heavy tank, which comes with a lock-on missile and a heavy gun, both of with have limited ammo, and a lower powered "blaster" with infinite ammo.
You pick up cash in the form of blue chunks of data that explode out of vanquished enemies which can be spent on upgrades.
As you progress, there's also an enemy strength bar that progresses. Once it reaches the end (which it does in about 3-4 missions), a "nemesis" spawns on the strategic map and moves towards you. I'm assuming once it reaches you, it results in some kind of hard-assed boss fight, but I didn't survive that long in my first campaign.
Graphics are smooth and clear, with no unreadable text and stylised enough to withstand the test of time. Framerate remains buttery smooth even with everything turned up, and there's no nausea thanks to it being a cockpit-based game.
The icing on the cake is that I'm old enough to have played the original Battlezone arcade cab where you had to press your face into a small window in order to see the game, and donning the Rift adds more than a little nostalgia to proceedings :D

Just finished Arizona Sunshine (fun game, but it does get rather repetitive, so I'm glad it didn't go on for much longer) and did the intermediate tutorial in Sprint Vector. I'll have to figure out which story-based VR game to tackle next (perhaps The Mage's Tale), but I think I'll try to fit in some Sprint Vector time as well.
