I once dumped an unconscious woman on the launching pad. When one of the guards found her, he checked her and said, "Thank God - she's still alive."
Nice to see a game FINALLY be able to tell between passed out/unconscious and dead - hope Thief III does the same.

Good! And I hope it rewards you for not killing too. If there was one thing that irked me about the original game it was that, after the first couple of missions, there was no difference between killing and KOs.

I stuffed a whole lot of unconscious people in a dumpster and waited for them to wake up.
But they never did :(

What about leaving it out in the sun and the shaking it?
Is that OK?

They can distinguish between unconscious and dead? Typical. More console-dumbing-down! Damn consoles!

Just when I was despairing about DX:IW online discussion, someone makes me smile. Good work.

If you knock the greasle unconcious (with the bowcaster) you can get some interesting conversation with the guy taking bets and eddie in the greasle pit for the second fight when it still shows up anyway. If you kill it, you can actually make some money off of eddie, as well as having a sure fire win ad quadupling (minus ten pecent) whatever you bet on Snake-Eyes.

So in fact you can actually be rewarded for killing instead of simply leaving an unconcious animal. Just the epitome of morality, isn't it?
