It doesn't matter something like this has been discussed before - new opinions come every day and sometimes opinions change. Thief is a great game and no movie can be better than the game... but if it turns out right it could get pretty close.

Thanks Nicked. I don't know how many realized you have several links posted there.
The common theme of all previous attempts is lack of funds to do it right, the lack of enough talent coming together (many of whom need to be on location together), and real life mucking it up for key people so it all comes to a halt. Yes, we have the talent here. No, we really don't have the means.
A Thief film would be cool. It's not going to happen, especially if the film is really a Thief-inspired film, or looks like an FM come to life, not the games' plot. It's an untenable dream we've thought about since the beginning.
