Besides, when people say they hate english people they generally mean a specific type of upper class, home counties (Londons satellite region to you foreigners) english person. I mean Jason Moyer, do you have an opinion about brummies or cornish people for instance?
Jason Moyer on 19/10/2012 at 08:41
Nah, I just dislike English people as a whole. They all look like they have down syndrome or something.
DDL on 19/10/2012 at 08:42
Of course, some cornish people hate the english too.
:P

I know they have a bitching flag and all that, but if cornish people aren't english then we might as well go back to calling ourselves Mercian or Wessexers or whatever.
Ha, wtf is down syndrome? When you listen to too much down?

It's that godawful 'nu-metal' band isn't it? Syndrome of a Down?

Yes, exactly. Named in honor of John Langdon Down, a Cornishman, if I'm not mistaken. Which, when you think about it, brings this tantalizingly close to full circle when one considers the proximity of Cornwall to England.

... it all adds up to one sinister riddle...
also CORNWALL IS IN ENGLAND LOOK IT UP fucking hell

Hmm, well. That
would muddy things up a bit, wouldn't it? ;)

Basically Cornwall remained celtic when the rest of england was getting invaded by Saxons. This is of course all like 1400 years ago.
[edit]I mean "the land we now call england". England as a unified nation didn't exist until a few centuries later.

That's irrelevant! Round them all up into Tintagel Castle and bombard them with pasties! That'll teach them for being Cornish.
