I will buy the game regardless of its sys specs. However, I have the negative feeling I will have to put it in a drawer or keep it on a shelf for display as opposed to actually playing it. I have friends who keep upgrading theri computer s to keep them up to date with games, but I just can't do that anymore . . . to me, games have gotten ridiculus in terms of what their requirements are and I just can't deal with it anymore.
Same goes for consoles, i liked fable a lot . . . a lot, and it was a good game, but not good enough for me to want to get a windoze X-square 360 just to play the second one.
Some of us gamers are choosing to leave gaming because of the specs, i only buy games out of the bargin bin the last few years and thief 4 will be the only only only exception. :p

I bet it will be released on Xbox and PS2, so we get loading screen after every room.
oh and did I mention the time will freeze whenever you leave a room.

But there are loads of great games in the bargain bins Grif so you haven't left gaming. I rarely buy brand new full price games, even for my PS3.
And a decent machine bought today will last you years. I got my PC in 2007 and it runs anything I throw at it today. Cost me less than £1000; close to it but the point was a machine that would last me years. At the most I'll need to upgrade the Gfx card next year.

Unless a new generation of consoles comes out, I wouldn't expect the requirements for Thiaf to be that bad, really.
