To reiterate what I said earlier, the most disappointing thing about the THIAF logo to me is that it appears to be the ONLY thing they're giving us today.
I mean, they even paid to advertise this specific day in Edge magazine to build anticipation for it.
And all they have to show for us is a bad joke on the Thief logo which most people don't seem to find terribly funny? :erm:
They couldn't provide one small phrase in the press release which indicated that the game would take place in the iconic City once again? Or at least some kind of official hint that Garrett would be returning (or not returning)? Maybe not even those examples, but
something other than an absurd misspelling of a leet-speaked Thief logo.
All we get is
THIAF?
Again, it isn't that I'm "over-reacting"; it's just that I'm puzzled and a little disappointed given the pre-announcement hype.
I agree... but maybe there will be more news given in the upcoming interview(s)

Guys, it's really obvious. The title is in faux l33t because the industry has grown up.

Hm, I don't see it as anything "leet". Was the movie Se7en? No. It's just a tiny little thing meant as advertisement. Not an actual title. There's been things like this before, nothing to get excited over, other than the fact a fourth Thief is coming.

THIAF, BIATCH!

I don't get it, where are the dots in the title?
Maybe it's T.H.I.4.F.?

Ah, it can still be much worse. It can be changed to "Vin Diesel is THIV X-TREME", for instance.
Or how about "Twilight of the Thief", a crossover with that imbecilic pseudo-vampire pseudo-franchise? You know, to target "the hip modern audiences"...

Hey, with Thief 5 we can have T5IEF! Wouldn't that just rock? Think of the possibilities: Thief 6: THIE6! Thief 7: TH7EF! Thief 8: THI8F! Thief 9: THI9F! Thief 10: TH10F! The mind boggles...

What's funny is now that Square-Enix took over Eidos, that amount of sequels is quite possible to happen :cheeky:
