looking for a little help here. i followed the instructions and everything seemed to go off without a hitch, but when i play the game i don't notice much different. anyway i can check (in-game, or like finding a file in a folder or something) to see if it took or if i botched something downloading/installing ddfix and widescreen?
thanks
oh, i'm running xp with an nvidia 7900 card, in case that matters.

Been a while, but I'm back. Finally, after putting it off for ages because of Robbing The Cradle being as bloody scary as it is the first time through, I have finished T3.
That leaves me with only Thief 2 uncompleted. For some reason, my fresh install of T2 refuses to let me play the last two missions. It starts loading the second-last, then locks up, still in the loading screen.
Is there somewhere where I can get the savegames for the last, say three levels, please? I recall having finished all but the last in a prior installation, but I'd like to make sure I've got those, just in case.
I would be eternally grateful.

Excellent, thanks for hosting. Hopefully Nens will redo Gold soon in that higher quality.

I'm currently playing the first level involving the Mechanists (Eavesdropping) and I can't bloody remember, where I found that key, which I made a wax copy of. As you know, I have to return it back to it's original place, otherwise I won't be able to finish the level. I would appreciate any hints on where to put it.

Oof! Okay, you'll really have to try harder to remember.:laff:
Karras said one of these:
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Acolytes' Quarters.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Guards' Quarters.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Office on the Second Floor of the Church.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Factory Area.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the East Tower.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the West Tower.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Catacombs.
*You will find the safety deposit box key at the Pulpit in the Church.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in a Closet near the Pulpit.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Shed atop the Acolytes' Quarters.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Storage Shed.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Kitchen.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Gallery.
*You will find the safety deposit box key in the Loft.
Friends...we are adjourned. Return now to your duties.

It's all right. I replayed the whole level and remember the place this time.

Hello all.
Took me a while, but finally started what I promised to do long time ago. Better PC is also one of the reasons why now. But in any case, here are Thief Gold walkthrough videos in HD. As I have some experience with encoding, this time I concentrated more on quality of videos, and they are now pretty much transparent with the source material - raw video recorded with fraps - and looks just like in game. Audio is lossless, transcoding could've saved me some MBs, but decided against it. Files are big, but at the end, all of them combined will be of size of one 'normal' 1080p movie.
As for walkthrough itself, as before, not perfect, as I probably lack the skill or patience of some better players. Will ghost as much as possible, but some other manoeuvres, such as nudging, banner transmigration, stacking, will be absent here. Also, AI and lightning seem different with NewDark, so some things are just impossible to do now, or I just fail to do them properly. Walkthrough is ghost in "spirit" where we try to collect all the loot and as much as possible (or willing) of other equipment and pickpockets. While of course not killing nor blackjacking anyone. Some small spiders will see me (like in first mission), and I will water arrow that fire beast in the bonehoard, but hopefully it'll stay on that.
As for game, latest Tfix there with all the goodies it brings. 1280 x 720 resolution and Sound effects enhancement pack. Game looks and sounds fantastic. Can't believe actually how much better the audio is here than in Thiaf. And it's not stopping there...
Videos have chapters as well which work well as loot lists of sorts, and I even added subtitles, but just for couple of things. Some explanations and similar.
Here are some screenshots.

On Bonehoard now, but after that, missions should come at faster pace.
