Just buy new cd drive. And I highly doubt that they will re-release them in Xbox.

The chances of the original games coming to XBOX are about as likely as Garrett getting together with Basso and Brother Murus and forming a rap band called The Bonehoarde Burricks.

It costs too much? Take a look on ebay. You can get some for $15 - including postage.

CD drives for computers are complete worthless! You can get new ones at the store for $20, or just go to an independent computer dealer guy and ask him to give you an old one for free, I bet he'll hook you up!

How the heck are they worthless? My CD-ROM games outnumber my DVD-ROM games 100-1. I even have several movies burned to CD. My mom bought a new PC 4 years ago that has a DVD drive, uses it daily, and has yet to put on single DVD in it.

I think his point was that wishing for Thief on X-Box because your cd-rom drive is broken is nonsensical. It's cheaper to buy a new cd-rom drive than it is to buy a used copy of Thief off ebay, much less the arm and a leg they would probably charge you if they re-released it on X-Box.

Man - I'm getting a BenQ DVD BURNER for $69 AU! Come one, that's the top of the range, and it only costs $20 more than a multimedia keyboard. Sheesh.

I didn't say the're useless, I said they're worthless. They are worth nothing, zero dollars, they are so cheap to manufacture and so abundant in the world. I myself threw away two of them a couple months ago when cleaning out my drawers of old junk - they were good CD-Rom drives, but who cares because nowadays everyone wants DVD-+RW/CDRW burner combo drives.
