Nice little mission :) Wish it had been longer.

Melan:
I thoroughly enjoyed this mission. Great TDP feel, excellent architecture, and lots of fun. I am in love with TDP missions and this was a good one. When it ended I said "oh no - not yet." If it were longer, that would have been terrific. Can't believe you did this much in such a short time. I must be a real slow Dromed builder!
I am looking forward to playing your next mission.
Thanks again - keep those TDP missions coming!

Thanks for this one Melan, you do have an own style of design in your missions, and i love it, high buildings with rooftops avaliable to be explored, a captivating gameplay, but once again i must say that an ambient music is important to give more beauty to the missions, i hope you reconsider next time to add ambient musics to your missions.
looking foward for more:thumb:

Actually that should be an easy fix, add ambients and re-release the FM.

I enjoyed this mission. It made me think for a bit, which is good.
The light puzzle in the chapel is so simple, yet so clever. It took me some doing, but I was able to cross without being spotted. Then I couldn't be arsed to cross the same way back, so I just ran in a straight line...:p
For a first-time, five-day effort, you've done well. Congrats.

This is a wonderful little TDP mission. I enjoyed it a lot. I just wished it had been a lot longer. I love the climbing.
I had 3 issues. I checked & according to the readme, I have version 1.1, and I am using a fresh install of both T1 & GL. I still have the problem with getting into the area behind the wine barrels. I have tried everything suggested here over & over as well as everything that usually works for me. I could complete the mission, but I want to know what I missed!! :p
Also, did anyone else encounter this?

Yep - encountered all 3 of those. But with a mission built in 5 days I guess we should expect some 'oddities'.
The guy in that first screen made me laugh; thought he was into some strange form of yoga, so I just grabbed the goodies & left him to it :D
Was he supposed to be like that?

pavlovscat: I think I know what could be the problem with these. The mission was built on a TDP install with the Gold patch from (
http://www.thief-thecircle.com/download.asp?fid=589) The Circle. Now if you are playing in simple TDP instead of Gold, the FM archive includes the object .bin and texture files, but not Thief Gold's gamesys, which has the items from Gold in the object hierarchy if it makes sense. :erm: E.g. that table only appears in Thief Gold, since it was introduced in the Mage Towers mission, while in case of the entrance you can't get into, your problem might be that
there are supposed to be sacks (sandbags) before the secret door.Would you be kind enough to see if you have the patch installed? And if you don't, try it with that. Sorry for the confusion -- in my defense, it was Christmas, and I had that bottle of Benedictine sour cherry liqueur with me... :sly:

...and I told Southquarter the naming of your mission should be TDP not Thief Gold :erm: Which they corrected the next day.
Well you told me it was TDP and not Gold during beta, so its your fault:joke:
So adding a table to the zip I suppose it can remain TDP.
I did a test run in TDP but never got to the table.
pavlovscat on 7/1/2009 at 19:09
That could be it. I have both TDP & Gold and Garrettloader picks the right one automatically when it installs the mission. I'd forgotten all about putting the patch in TDP.
This makes sense because it seems that there is something invisible blocking that place which I cannot get around, only a small space next to the barrel where I can lean in but not pass through. Invisible sandbags...that would certainly explain why no amount of antics could get me through there. :p
OK...so I'm going to apply the patch & start over. I'll let you know what happens. *pav crosses fingers*
