Thief 1 Gold, no user interface

Hey guys, I just installed Thief 1 Gold and my cousin told me about the texture/model enhancements which I installed right after.

I ran the training mission and none of the user interface appears on the screen. When I got to the part to pick up my weapons, they weren't visible either but I managed to pick them up. Nothing shows on screen when I attack which I'm assuming is wrong also. Any ideas?

I'll probably try reinstalling but it's late and just want to hear if anyone knows something about this.

optimize your thief install with darkloader,(http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75031#texturepatch) see here.it should work fine after that.
