I remember this bug/glitch a few years back. Someone about getting 1k (1000+) Broadhead Arrows during 'Haunted Cathedral' mission (not buying them basically). Here's one I remembered before: Simply head to section where the floor traps are after you fire a Fire arrow at the statue while standing on the pedestal. While carrying a big rubble with you, drop it in the middle of the 4 floor traps. Notice while stepping on these will trigger a trap, shooting arrows at the corner. When dropping it in the middle, it'll continue to trigger the trap constantly, as the arrows impacts a wooden surface, leaving the arrows behind. Simply repeat this process and you'll get more than enough arrows XD. :idea:
*Warning*: While doing this may obviously cause lag, due to how many objects are active in the screen :(

Even better:
for unlimited arrows, get rid of all your broadheads if you have any. Find an archer, get him to chase you. Then make sure to have him stop around a sharp corner to wear he just barely sees you. If do right, he will ignorantly fire his bow into wall. The arrows he shoots into the wall can be pick up and grant you and unlimited amount. This technique can work in just about
any place with
any bowman, but it
only works in Thief 1.

Another opportunity is in Thieves Guild. Go to the section just past where the two guards talk about the Bafford Job. In one room there is a Bow Guard pacing about and in the next room is a female servant standing in front of two blue chests and there is a bunk bed near the door. Enter the room and move around the bunk bed. When the Bow Guard sees you he will let fly with an endless stream of arrows that thwunk into the wooden bunk bed. If you have it lined up correctly, otherwise you are a pin cushion.

I don't know about "unlimited", but while playing one of the Thief 2 missions (I forget which one now, I had an archer shooting at me and I hid behind a wooden post. As long as I didn't move, he just kept firing arrow after arrow into it. I think I finally used a gas arrow to knock him out and then collected the 20-30 arrows from the post.

Yeah, I know that trick, thanks for mentioning it :). Although I find that slow cause it's approximately 5-7 seconds per arrow :/

Did you remember to get rid of all of
your arrows beforehand? You should only need to pick up one arrow from the bowman. The arrow that he shoots into the wall is should register with no number below it, meaning you have an infinite amount.
