piesel: Well, I am honoured. :D
Actually, I know of a similar-styled mission by Scarykitties that was under construction in 2012, but I don't know what became of it. It was very promising based on the preview video I have seen of it, so let's hope it gets released eventually.

Is it bad that I try to replicate Melan and Skacky's style? I don't completely replicate it but I mix it in with my style of building my Thief 1 city maps.

I don't think that's bad at all. I've taken pointers from plenty of folks here and there over the years.

Don't forget the Darkmod, some worthy missions of note - Return to the City, William Steel 2, Penny Dreadful 2 & Lords and Legacy.

Imitating someone's style is healthy and is good for progress. Once you're comfortable you can explore other things and find your own style.

That's correct. When I started out, I simply wanted to make a mission that felt like Trial by Night, Lord Edmund Entertains, Walking the Edge and Calendra's Cistern, mainly the first two. It helped a lot to open these missions in Dromed and take the individual architectural features apart to see how they were done with brushwork. (You can find some of my concept sketches in the mission archives for Bad Debts, Disorientation and PD2, although there were far more basic things like "this is how you do a fancy window, this is how you create an archway".) After a while, you will develop naturally along your own tastes.

Yes, tried it but the missions loading times are almost infinite, my PC is a bit old but 4/5 minutes to load maps brings me back to the C64 and Spectrum days when i played with a cassette player :cheeky:
The mod is really great but the problem (at least for me) it's there.

You can try the first mission of my mini-campaign: Looking for Info. It's 80% city with some tomb raiding and sewers involved.

Thanks but already completed (and loved) your campaign. :cheeky:
