* if you wake a sleeping AI but then make no more noise they go back to sleep...
* its properly dark in the shadows
* hitting a painting sounds like your hitting a painting not a sofa.
* The best City based FMs have been done in TG, you can blame Skacky and melan...

I foresee great things... :sly:
* Hammerites turn their heads towards you when you are spotted. Take that, TMA! :cheeky:

Garrett moves wee bit faster and can jump farther.

First and foremostly - JUMPING - dying by jumping into a wall!
Then there's the funny thing with shadows, that are pure darkness, like Vlad does in his T1 missions. Is that possible in T2 aswell?

- Scarier atmosphere.
- Very interesting background for the City.
- Keepers seem somehow more mysterious.

* When guards see you, they just stare at you for one second, just to understand what is in front of them, and then chase you. They look much more silly that way. :cheeky:

I remember opening a door from a dark area into a lit room. The light would beams in. When the door closed and the light disappeared.
Thief 2 does not seem to do that right.

Secret areas sometimes have lights that come on, but there's no dynamic shadows in the Dark Engine.
What's better in T1?
- The grittiness that happens to come from the low-res textures and unusual palette, making for a more alien and surreal atmosphere, but TMA wasn't about the alien and surreal (for the most part).
- Dadaism.
- Burricks and Craymen.
- Holy Water and Holy Water arrows.
- Two less potions.
- When Garrett loses his eye.
- A shop I can walk around in, that's selling wares.
- The story feels darker and creepier.

Jump and run, jump and run. :thumb:
No mechanists or bots!
Cragscleft.
The ambients around every corner. More ambients than just wind, AI noises, your own footsteps, and machinery sounds.
The dark, gritty, surreal, otherworldly feel - as opposed to the more realistic day to day life of a city (that's been threatened by a madman) feel of TMA.
The UK accent the guards have.
Bugbeasts, craymen, apebeasts, frogbeasts, burricks, undead.
Did I mention no mechanists or bots?!? :laff:
