EDIT: It doesn't work in my version. I was able to creep right on top of it, it never highlighted, the lockpick never engaged it, and I jumped up to set it off.
If you're fast enough, you can pick up the mines as they are being armed once thrown.

Also, I didn't know you could hold the blackjack up with the block key and then simply touch it to an AI's head to knock them out. Is this a bug? I saw people doing it on youtube and it made me ROFL. He doesn't even swing the thing and the guards just drop!
 That I did not know. Do you have a link to the video :joke:

Thief TDP better than Thief TMA? Sorry, but no.
TDP had way too many undead and "Constantine's Minions" levels. Okay, so they got somewhat more tolerable after a long while, but I still prefer the more technological bent of TMA. Besides, I much prefer robbing homes and cities to graveyards and tombs.
I don't see what's so bad about the Victorian elements in TMA, either. They are as good as (and in some places, better than) TDP's Medieval elements. I also prefer the toned-down graphics of the second game; TDP's overly bright graphics were painful on my eyes at times, and many textures were just messy.
I prefer the Mechanists to the Hammerites myself, though I realize I'm in the minority here. (I really like them both, though)
However, both of the first two games (and TG) are far superior to TDS, which was quite sterile and forgettable if you ask me. Not to mention cartoonish at times.

Thief 1 every mission is different, not THE EXACT SAME LOCATION as in Thief 2's 'Casing the Joint' & 'Masks'
This is my first Thief 2 playthrough and SON I AM DISSAPOINT

I missed the Burricks in Thief2, but otherwise it was better than T1 in every way IMO.

A lot of people complain about TDP/TG not having enough human enemies/too many creatures, but in TG there's actually plenty of human levels:
- Bafford
- Cragscleft
-Assassins
-Thieves' Guild
-The Sword
-The Mage Towers
-Song of the Caverns
-Undercover

You miss the WHAT??!! :wot:
I hated those things with a passion, killed every damn one of the bastards. I also hate zombies, in Down to Bonehard, I lured all the zombies I could to the one trap that shot fire balls until every last one of those taffers exploded. :thumb:
But hey! Thief 2 has mice! (... and robots :nono: )

Well, now we know you liked half of one game and half of another.

They can be blackjacked, no need to kill them you violent nature hater! Anyway, Burricks were just cute and they made funny noises, I liked them. :) The extra comedy about them is that they're just stupid. They tunnel left and right and eventually get killed by the cave-ins they caused. I can't help but laugh at them. :)

Here's something else T1/G has, that Thief 2 doesn't: frobbable canisters!:D

What about "Undercover" and "Strange Bedfellows" in TDP? "The Sword" and "Escape!" as well.
