Dude! Those screenshots are incredible. I couldn't even recognize the outside as a Thief game. Not so seen textures + with the Bloom effect it's even better.
Anyway, what is this topic really about? Will this effect be released as an add-on when time comes?
Well i mean it looks like it has came out, but i am too lazy atm. to check it out.

The screenshots make me wanna try this, too. Unfortunately it doesn't work on neither of my computers. On my tower it crashes when entering the 3d mode and on my MacBook it doesn't even start.
Btw: If you installed DDfix and widescreen patch before, isn't it just necessary to exchange the ddfix.dll and add the ebn.ini and the D3d9.dll?

I strongly recommend changing the default settings to Willie's setting here:

I'm experimenting and reducing the effects further and when I think I have a decent balance I'll post my new settings here.
But in my opinion, and I think most people here will agree once they see them, the default settings make the effects too severe.

After seeing what some tweaking will do, I'm liking this much more. The defaults are...over-exposed?...and are a turn off. With these newer shots, I'll give it try myself when Twist posts the new tweaks. Thanks, Twist!

This is fairly obvious. but I'll state it just to be clear: remember that this needs the old D3D9 version of DDFix so you won't get any fog in Thief 2 while using it.

I did use Willie's settings for a time, but it made it look worse, not better.:eww: Maybe it was my imagination, but I sware it looked worse than the defaults.

I followed SnkeaksieGarrett's instructions. Well, looked like it worked thus far & all, but 1 giant problem - all the ingame screen is black, only some sword and compass type of texts on the both sides i can see. Is Radeon 9000 really too weak for Thief/Thief II?!

Hmm, that's weird. I suppose I should have put it in there, but I figured it was obvious; did you actually deinstall your ddfix first before applying ddfix 1.1.1? Perhaps that could be the problem.

No, it's really too weak for DirectX9c
you need a video card that at least supports Shader model 2a, which is the Nvidia 6x00 series and Radeon 9500 series
Radeon 9000 through 9250 was a blunder by ati, since the rest of the series is Directx9, those are 8.1
