About problems with installing Thief 1/2 as mentioned <a href="http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75031#hour">here</a>.

For me this problem has always been connected with running apps such as StyleXP or Objectdock while trying to install. What I did was to enter Task Manager and close StyleXPService.exe and then run the Thief 2 setup program. It started right away, and ten minutes later I was playing. Just a tip.
Of course if you're not running these apps the problem has other causes.

a couple weeks ago thief 2 took ages for the installer to start. but when i installed it the other night, bam, it started up right away.
i hate you, installshield. stop jerking me around.
