I've got Thief Gold, Thief 2 and Thief 3 on 1 dvd. And it's all legal: nice polish edition;)
van HellSing on 25/6/2008 at 20:00
Yup, got the same one. Another plus is that all the games have cd-checks removed. Same goes for the Deus Ex Anthology (DX & DX:IW + Project Snowblind). :thumb:
The downside is they don't have an option to keep the original english text - ideally, the localisation would be done through a patch, like the GTA: San Andreas reedition.
Thank goodness only the text is translated though, I don't think I could cope with the memorable Thief characters speaking with the voices of some third-rate polish soap opera "stars"... I absolutely hate it when they do full localisations without an option for buying the original version, happened with Assassin's Creed lately, gawd, was that awful... :erg:

Yeah, I hate full localisations, too. There always should be a choice;)

Update:
My friend got her copy today and its 4*disc's in a dvd sized case.
Hopefully my copy will be at home also, I'll install all three and come back here with the results etc.

Have they done anything to, y'know, make the older two work on today's computers out of the box?
No.

Hmm, anyone who buys it should ring eidos' tech support when it doesn't work (even when they know of all the existing fixes)
Call them a lot. (although it is probably a toll number)

The polish versions do have some fixes iirc, i seem to recall a fix for the cutscene playback problems being included.

Are they CDs then? (I'd assume so...) Wow, what a joke. It even says DVD ROM, but they rip you off. Maybe that should say Thief Collection PC CD-ROM in DVD Case

I carfully opened mine without damaging the plastic wrapper and whats in side is : T1 CDrom, T2 2x CDrom's, and T3 dvd. I was expecting all 3 games on a doubl
e sided DVD. Yes the box looks pretty and all, but its only better in that its a single dvd case.
It a good deal for people who have lost/damaged their original discs.

actually, all games fit on one regular dvd nicely,no need for dual layer.I have such a version myself, its the same as the polish release, but its all in english..except for the installers.
