Hi,
I played all games and finished it. Why do so many people hate Thief DS compared to 1&2? I reckon it was a good game, it expanded the universe and had a different atmosphere of magic rather than tech. I compare each game similarly, as each has different gameplay (but equally good).

Sorry to say this, but there have been a lot of threads about this topic and nearly all of them started a war between the "teams"... :erg:

Yes, please. We really don't need another one of these.

There's your reason. I just didn't like the more 'high fantasy' feel to it compared to the huge tall buildings and Art Deco of T2....it was as if progress had been lost. I suppose Medieval Stasis in fantasy games annoys me.

I realise I never actually finished Deadly, but I thought the game took place in and arund The City. What did I miss? :)

I also heart Thief - Deadly Shadows. It's trully a modern game.

Yup, it truly embraced modern sensibilities...though I can't say that was a good thing.

I can't decide between Thief 2 & 3, so I'll say I love them both equally, Thief 1 was great too but the sequels are much better, in my eyes. :) Deadly Shadows was a very good game, not worse than the previous titles.
