Widescreen works for me flawlessly on Thief: The Dark Project (Platinum) - which is 1.33, I believe.

WOW!
I can't download it. Rapidshare says the file was deleted by the uploader.
Filefront says: "Your download has failed. The file you are attempting to download is restricted to an access group of which you are not a member."

The links in this, heh, "mirror" thread were outdated by two versions, the ones in the original thread work fine.
Please try the new links, and good luck.

How does this affect FMs which really push the max polys limit? Any crashes?
RavynousHunter on 19/5/2008 at 20:53
Exactly what I was thinking, Bane. /ponder
Too bad I can't test this patch, since I'm using an old 1024x768 CRT. Oh well, maybe I'll get a new monitor when my "stimulus payment" comes thru, lol. Free money FTW! :thumb:

Fantastic mod !
I just tried it on my rocksbourg 3 which is complex as fuck, I visited half the mission and didn't have a single problem. Well at moments I had a few lags, but I'm not even sure it comes from the mod, I think it comes from the mission itself...
Therefore, it seems it can handle complicated fms. Someone should try Sliptip's Ashen Age though.
And I'm playing in 1440x900, hell it looks like HD at moments. This mod is marvelous ! :D

Yes. I tested it out with an area which I knew was pushing the polys, and it was much worse with the widescreen. I didn't get a crash, but surfaces started to vanish.
Shadak on 21/5/2008 at 03:07
Very interesting. I suspect it won't crash any missions though, because authors like to avoid missions going over the poly limit and making surfaces disappear, whereas the game can handle going over the limit a bit.
So playing with this widescreen may cause "weirdo" visuals once in a while in the most poly-heavy FMs, but they will likely be short lived and non-crashing.
