I thought about posting screenshots, but I'd need to find an example of this happening to something other than a spoiler object that is part of my unreleased FM. ;)
Changing the 3d zoom has no change.
Later today I'll whip something up. No time now.

This isn't a real inventory item, but it illustrates the problem well, and it's easier than hunting around for an object that does it which isn't
top secret.

Inline Image:
http://www.digital-nightfall.com/gateclipcompare.jpgAs you can see, the limits of the inventory window are normal for the engine, but with the widescreen patch the object is much bigger, and so alot more gets cut off. The items in question in my case do not get cut off when viewed normally.

I can't do it, sorry.
edit: seems that I can, see below ;)

There are some parameters in DARK.CFG for tweaking the HUD layout. They are:
vismeter_zoom 60
hpbar_zoom 60
inv_status_margin -0.008
inv_model_zoom 10.0
How about having your mod automatically adjust inv_model_zoom? That should fix the problem.
EDIT: Crap, nevermind. That setting doesn't do anything like what I thought it would. It's more of a focal length adjustment.

Thanks to Digital Nightfall for reporting the bug and testing the fix, thanks ZylonBane for the pointer. Here is v6, the items are now as small as the should be and will no longer be cut off. Another new feature: If you are using ddfix then the selected resolution is now also written to ddfix.ini. This should make it even simpler to run both mods simultaneously.

I'm sure i've missed something... so i've got errors. On the other hand ddfix (and my normal thief.exe ile) take too much bytes (a little too much...)
Circled around it with red:

If anyone could help, i'd be grateful.
P.S. Forgot to tell. It's Thief I Gold, i think the versions (1.37) match, but couldn't find the place where to check it
sNeaksieGarrett on 6/8/2008 at 19:40
Well did you actually try playing thief first before writing that off as an error? Because I'm pretty sure (thought I can't say for sure) that dark widescreen checks for different versions of thief.exe, and yours wasn't the same size for that version it checked for so that's why it said not found. However, in your screenshot, it did patch your thief.exe, but it's a different size version.
And if you pirated it, then that's probably the problem then.:erg:

So if i copy the Thief.exe file from my old (2001st year i think) disc copy, it shall run?
Edit: As i thaught, it wouldn't... damn this... i don't belive, that it doesn't work because i'm a pirate of karribean sea. Pirates are humans too for god's sake!
BTW - the same happened to Thief II - even worse - it showed that patch failed - (

Somebody tell me the real reason this is happening to me!
Edit: Ah i just had to download ddfix on t2 aswell, and now it shows the same kind of error...blast it!

Oh, forgot to answer you, Sneaksie... So it is pirated, but i belive the programm makes me bug for wanting those impossible numbers, cause ddfix was 24'000'000 bytes big aswell, but it asked a little below it... same with Thief II (or maybe it asked a bit above it...check for youself
