The Intruder Painting is the only objective I've completed so far, it's in the area with the house with the amusing gargoyles on the outside wall.
Bigger Hint: Get up onto the Thieves Highway

About the statue:
Small hint: check Lord Bafford's property.
Big hint: read the diary on the table in Lord Bafford's house.
Spoiler: at the back of Lord Bafford's property there is a secluded area with distinct ambience. Look down and you will find the statue of Euterpe. There is also a snoring guard opposite.
Easier way to find the Intruder Painting:
Small hint: read the diary in the art gallery.
Big hint: the thief was seen entering the city park. Investigate this area and its surroundings.
Spoiler: go the city park. Look for the circular face. Mantle the wall above it. Look to the left and mantle the roof. Proceed upwards through the roof and you will find an attic, which you can access using a rope arrow.

I can't help feeling I got into Bafford's the wrong way, by sinking a rope arrow into the dangling banner and then rope onto the beam from there. There's also a building opposite Bafford's I can't get into as the rope arrows shot into the wood above the open windows aren't long enough. Is this all right? I've got vague memories of TG and T2 having different rope lengths and am wondering if my install is acting up.

Swiz: in this mission, wood and soft materials are not the only surfaces that you can attach your rope arrows to.

Can I replace the skybox without dromeding around? Who knows, maybe that will help?
== LATER ===
I've tried to convert png to dds, but it looks like the FM searches for *.png, not just for any supported file with the needed filename.
I simply deleted the directory (folder) with the sky textures. Worked well for me.
After installing the mission with FMsel, I deleted
skyhw, located in
{Thief directory}/fms/The_Bracelet_of_Melody/fam/. Then I started playing the mission. Using an old savegame went fine, no need to start a new game.
The game displayed a cloud-filled sky with a (somewhat large) moon. Nothing unusual happened, just the appearance had changed. Worth a try for you. If things go wrong, uninstall and re-install the mission again, and you should have the mission's skies back.
For anyone still looking for Garrett's weapons: You have to find his (real) employer first. That is
the Princess mentioned in the diary and other readables. She resides in the castle. To get there, you can use the entrance mentioned by the man at the inn. The
sewer he talked about is in the street leading to the park, not in the park itself. At the end of the street, the canal hatch is visible on the ground, and the door handle you received from the man should open the hatch for you.
After a short passage, you arrive below
a metal grate in the ceiling, which should open. Climb up to emerge in the entrance hall of the castle. Take the southern stair up, go through the doors and take another flight of stairs up to the very top. Careful, there are guards there who may come out of doors quite unexpectedly!
Open the door at the upper end of the stairs and
go through when the guard that should be in the corridor doesn't look your way. Take the door to your left immediately, and once through, turn left another time to open yet another door. You should have arrived in the Queen's bedroom. Search it for something to read, then leave the room through the other door, which leads to a bathroom. Turn towards the door on your left and open it.
The room beyond that door contains
a wardrobe, a desk, a bookcase and some other furniture. Now look for a hidden switch in a niche to the left of the bookcase. The switch makes the wardrobe move away, revealing a ladder. Climb down to enter the Princess' suite, and go to her bedroom. After grabbing and perhaps reading her diary, she appears in person, right behind you. When she has successfully babbled your ears off, take the keys from the table, then go back to the room where the ladder ended. One of the keys should open the chest with your weapons inside. Finally, you're armed and dangerous again!:ebil:

For anyone still looking for Garrett's weapons: It is also possible, but fiddly, to
once in the castle, go clockwise around the upper floor's outside area. Once you reach on the roof overlooking the large courtyard with brewery, do a awkward flying leap and mantle through the window into the Princess' room.

Can someone give me a strong hint as to where the evidence is. I have done all the required objectives except that one.
Great mission so far Pedro!
