the first. how can i help pricess melanie her quest?
the first two ceremonies i managed . the heart in the tree and the two coins in the fountain.
but what must i do with the three statues?
and where can i find the holiday house of bafford?

I used a holy water fountain (there are two, one on either side of door in the church) to create holy water arrows. Then fire an arrow at each of the three statues to bless them.

It's to the East of the Cut Emerald Inn. There's a large banner hanging outside, with a horse on it. You have to find a way to get up there.

You give her the Bracelet of Melody but complete all the rituals first. And see Cardia's important comment below, which I forgot. DOH! :D

This is really strange and kind of frustrating. I cant find Baffords scepter. Got to the house, there are two guards only - one at the street level (swordman) and another at the gallery (archer). I read the diary about Benny, but cant find him. There's also a terrace with pile of leaves (empty) and a balcony with some chalice (also empty). I am totally lost. Pics would help

The partially completed french version in the Zip archive needs some servicing.
First, the readables are in a folder called "french", but at least with FMSel, the game won't ever find them, because said folder is in the root or main folder of the zip file instead of being placed in the "Books" folder. And while we're at it, the english files in "Books" should better be moved into a new folder "English" inside "Books" (and alongside "French"), for some of the FM loaders may react allergic if there's a folder "French" somewhere, but not a folder "English" in the same location. The same, btw, may happen to the sounds, for there are many in "English" folders without a corresponding other language folder.
Furthermore, the french version of Latrina.STR does not fit onto one page and is truncated. Removing two or three of the empty lines between the two paragraphs of the text is recommended.
Last but not least, there are different files among the french and english readables. Petrarca.STR, Songs.STR and city.STR do appear only in one of the languages.
There is a texture for a floor plate with the already mentioned reference to de Gaulle. The writing is mirrored. If it was meant to be read-able, then the texture needs to be mirrored again to make the writing appear correctly.
