Thief 1/gold with thief 2/3 engine ?

I was wondering if there was a kind of conversion of thief 1/gold into thief 2/3 engine ?

so if I understand correctly there is no conversion to thief 3, wich is not soooo bad cos I like the dark engine anyways...

BUt there is a thief gold to thief 2 eng. conversion ?

I've been playing thief games again and I like the campains much, I'll probably d/l some fan missions too later on :)

a fair number of individual Thief Gold missions have been ported to Thief 2, all available at Metal and Gold (search under "Series")

Has anyone considered porting "song of caverns" though? Is there any reason only two of the extra missions were ported?
