Well, if someone at Eidos Montréal is working on Thief 1&2, then I'd like to thank him/her/them :).
Hey guys,
I'm Adam, the community manager at Eidos Montreal.
I can confirm that it's not us at Eidos Montreal working on these patches - although, we are INCREDIBLY impressed by the mystery person/people's work :)
I'd definitely be interested to chat with the responsible parties - Feel free to send me a tweet any time on my personal twitter - @b1skit
Keep up the amazing work!!!

Hey Adam,
It's nice to see you here, especially in this thread :). Sometimes it's good to know some facts for sure, and you're saying that these unofficial patches are not from EM. Well, it's good to know.

you know that
a) we are not sure whether he is the one he claims to be
b) denying it openly can actually mean that they are really the ones working on the patch
translation: nothing has changed.

All is as it was written. Beware the dawn of the reboot age.

Of course not, we know that...Why would EM do something noble and true that benefits the THIEF community...

I know...It truly is incredible to witness skill and talent that is beyond one's reach.

Excellent translation...I didn't know you spoke Eidosese.

I'm sure he was sincere. I imagine the makers would need some assurance of immunity before they can come forward though. Just my impression since I don't know them or what they did.
If square enix & eidos were really interested in working with the community on these kinds of patches though, so it's an open & collaborative thing, that's what we wanted this whole time. If it takes something like this to finally open them up to the possibility, then maybe something good will come out of it.
The community has a lot to contribute to eidos, and we want improve the games & have people buying them on GoG too.

I personally doubt in it, because I strongly believe that it is too dangerous for any ex-LGS to work on the
unofficial patch.
I haven't a doubt on who it is, because I've seen the names of the people who worked on it and they are in fact ex-LGS. I won't post it publicly because of the dangers involved in working on something like this, and because of the respect I have for anyone who worked at that studio, I'd like to protect them as much as I can.

I know for a fact UFOs have landed on earth and are currently here. I won't post the proof however, because I want to protect mankind as much as I can.
Oh, and Elvis is still alive.
